Converting to .VMS and .VMi from PC...HELP!

I sent my PC a DC save through e-mail. It came over as a .dat file.

Does anyone know how to make it back into the correct DC format so I can download again?

It's a PSO level 73 HUmar and I dont want to lose him.

Please, any help would be nice.
