Okay, I've got two pages on my site which link to lots of handy
resources, and give guides to a lot of VM related stuff.
my directory of development links @
http://rvmu.port5.com/directory.html
and my faq @ http://rvmu.port5.com/faq.html
There are tools available for DOS, so should work on your system
without problem (assuming you have knowledge of using a Dos box)
One thing that worries me is that you say you have no programming
experience. As the way to program for the VM is assembly (possibly
the most abstract and non-user friendly way you can program) I really
would not recommend that you learn here!
(If you've ever programmed in BASIC, you might like to take a look at
LIME @ http://www.metronet.com/~ocon/lime/ although apparently that's
not totally windows friendly yet)
