Yes, I'm calling it a compiler for the VMU, 'cuz that's what it does.
I'm also calling it and the language it compiles, "Lime."
And this post is the "official announcement." Ain't it grand?
The language is something I hacked together since we all know that C
ain't never gonna work on a machine with a stack the size of my bank
account.
But here's a giant sized warning: it ain't finished. Not even close.
It is what I laughingly call (to my boss at work when she is breathing
down my freaking neck) usable.
But I'm stopping development on it for a week or so to write my first
little game with it sort of as a proof of concept.
Don't get me wrong... I've written the requisite test proggie or two
(or ten) to test the functionality as I have developing it, but no
"real" program yet.
So, here's the website: http://www.metronet.com/~ocon/lime/
I added the link to the links page in e-groups vmu-dev.
I'll have some demo code up like tomorrow night in case I have been
too long on another planet with my current documentation.
Thanks in advance for any comments, guys.
