Hi All,
Two quick things.
1.) My latest article just appeared on www.pcenginefx.com. It's
entitled "Turbo on the Wii," and it's part 1 of 3. I'll be highlighting
some of the great Turbo classics that really deserve a Renaissance on
the Wii. So read the article, bookmark the site, and check back for
parts 2 and 3 this coming week and next. Hope you like it. Feel free to
email comments.
2.) I am selling my Pioneer LaserActive. It's in minty perfect
condition and comes complete with the original controllers and BOTH the
Sega and ULTRA RARE Turbo Modules (and a few other minor extras). Feel
free to email me if interested. You can see the picture here
http://www.sashikomi.net/capt69/DSCF0028.JPG
I'm not sure if we are allowed to post eBay links on this mailing list,
but I currently have the item for sale there and I'm sure you can find
it with little effort. Please feel free to email me with questions.
Thanks All,
Joe

5 titles for about 40 bucks. Beats the prices back in the day.

im going to seed this for the next 2 to 3 weeks at 30kbps. Please seed
when your done for fast downloading for others. Most of the games work
just fine on my old TG16 cd player with a 3.0 card. I could not get
Gain Ground to work with the magic engine nor the TG16 :(

Back in the day, I played about 3/4 through the Mega CD Cosmic 1
with very little japanese knowledge.
It did get pretty tough in some of the mazes later on though(enemy
wise).
I would've finished it but I traded my Mega-CD combo with game save
in it for a second Turbo Duo.

GameFAQs has a FAQ for the Sega CD version. I just started playing the PCE
version today, and the FAQ seems to work for it. It's a very simple FAQ and
doesn't help with the menus, but I've had an easy time with the game so far.
The menus aren't difficult to figure out and there hasn't been much to do
besides walk from town to maze to town to maze.

Anyone know of a Cosmic Fantasy 1 Walkthrough? I just picked it up
from hit Japan on ebay. Looks pretty cool. I dont speak or read
Japanese but I did beat cosmic fantasy 3 a few years ago. Trial and
error LOL did a google but no luck
I just picked up 5 titles from hit-japan on ebay for 40 bucks. Plus
went through my box of pc engine/tg16 cd's and came across an
original(no iso) of Dynastic hero that I had bought from TZD some
years ago. I started playing it a couple days ago and what a cool
game. I am a little bummed that they didnt use some parallax in it but
the gameplay is nice and the colors in the game kinda pop out at you.
Really fun stuff.

The game is average (I have the actual game, not an ISO...it set me back $80
out of Japan when I bought it years ago)...and probably regarded the way it is
(comments often overhype the game content...same goes for Kaze Kiri, also
published by Naxat Soft) because it is one in a relatively small number of pure
(and moderately playable) action releases on CD. I thought it looked good from
still shots as well, but the presentation is flat, which detracts greatly.
It also seems to me that it would be a pain in the butt to play on a computer.
Prices have come down so much in recent years for so many PC Engine games,
that I'm wondering why people just don't buy the real thing.

The way I remember it, both versions of the System 3.0 card are region
free.
So you could just buy the cheap PCE version instead.
I don't have time to pull out a Turbo system to check right now, but
years ago I'm sure that I played the JP Sys 3 card on every Turbo
system including Turbo Express.
Found this list just recently. Maybe some of you know me from the old
Joyce/Mindrec TML that BT runs. (BTW, the old Turbo Mailing List is still out
there if anyone wants the info.) Anyways, just one quick question ...
Anyone know where I can get a 3.0 card without paying an arm and a leg? I could
squeeze about $100 -give or take- right now, but it seems to go for a bit more
than that.
And while I'm thinking about it. Anyone interested in a Pioneer LaserActive with
Sega and Turbo packs included (and some other random extras)? I won't lie. I
want a decently hefty price, but if you are interested, drop me a line.
TIA
Joe
P.S. Reply to me directly, don't clutter the list :-)
I also have a bunch of tg16 cds & scds. I'd say I have most of the
TG16 roms & afew PC engine roms to trade but I'm looking for more PC
engine stuff to trade & ofcourse more cds etc.
I play all my games on my pc via magic engine full. I've heard magic
engine is almost ready to release a PC-FX emulator so I'd love to get
a collection of PC FX isos started too.

Except that we'll probably get Turbografx versions of games over here
since Turbografx and Genesis system images were shown at the recent
emulation announcement.
So you might as well settle for Blazing Lazers.
Seems like Hudson is going to allow people to download games from the
TG-16 and TG-16 CD for the Nintendo Revolution. Now I won't have to
shell out 50 bucks for Gunhed!
