I can't say for sure if regular Duo or TG16 adaptors will work, but a
universal one does(I use a Naki one).

Your best bet is probably to just get some AV cables for your CGII
and see if you get a picture through Video.

I'm sure they're getting power...when I tried messing around with
the channels a few years back, the screen "snow" would change when I
turned on the PCE. The AC adapter I'm using is the one that came
with my portable CD player. Will a regular Duo or TG16 adapter
work?

All I want to do is play those two games!

If you're using an RF switch with a PC Engine, the channels it works
on are in the 90's or perhaps the 70's.

I don't remember exactly which, because it's been years since I've
done it and it was the same deal with Famicoms(but the famicons
might've been in the 70's).

Does the CoreGrafx II have am inch wide round AV out(I'm pretty sure
it does)?

If so, you can just go down to Radio Shack and buy a Midi cable with
a matching male plug and several female rca recepters on the other
end.

The one I'm currently using with my Turbo Duo has red, yellow, black
and green. It only takes a minute to figure out which are audio and
video(the extra female jack can just hang there) and mine has a
clearer picture than my official Duo cable.

Be careful if you look for one on eBay, I bought one or two
unofficial Duo/SMS cables from a crooked seller that give an awful
picture.

I'm pretty sure that the midi cable I use cost me under $10 CAD, so
it's a really good deal.

Sounds like you bought both consoles without any original power coords or
audio/video hookups. Is that correct? That would affect the value of what you
have. Also, are you entirely certain the consoles even work or are getting
power?

I bought two Sega games (OutRun and After Burner)for the PC Engine
over 5 years ago and I've never played them.

I've searched ebay for one of those adapters to play the PCE games
on a TG16 or Duo but have not been able to locate a "Kisado-card",
which I read somewhere is the best or most reliable adapter.

I have a PC Engine (white) console and a CoreGrafx II console. The
PCE connects by RF switch and the CGII is through an AV out.

I haven't been able to get the PCE to work with a US television, and
I don't have the CGII AV cable.

How much are these two consoles? I would prefer to trade them for a
Kisado card or a compatible AC adapter that works with these
consoles. I have an AC adapter that looks like it matches, but I'm
not sure if this is why I couldn't get either of the consoles to
work on a US TV.

I asked these questions before back in '99 but I forgot what you
guys recommended to me.

I just put together a quality vcd featuring the entire game of
Sapphire.

If you can't play the game for any reason, or just want to be able to
sit back and watch the thing without all the work, I'll send any
member a free copy.

All you have to pay for is shipping.

I've got it down under a half hour and plan to add Gate & Lords of
Thunder to the disc with a music menu, intro, etc...

I've updated the Links section.

Now everything works and has a title + description.

I'll be updating the Files soon.

If you're looking for a rom, cover scan, audio, etc... you can
request one and I'll either post it here or a link to the file on my
own webspace.

More updates are on the way.

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to announce the founding of what I hope will be a cool new
site. The site is called Old School Gaming Magazine and is located at
www.osgmagazine.com. It's [I think] a new idea for the online old school gaming
community. I decided that instead of making a content based site (since there
are already so many great content sites for so many classic gaming systems) I'd
be making a site that focuses on the news dealing with old school gaming. The
site will be covering stuff like game re-releases, emulator releases, classic
gaming website launches, interviews, and classic gaming website news (say like
nesworld.com were to add a new section). The site will also have forums (located
at www.osgmagazine.com/forums) for anyone who's interested. While the site won't
be open until September 1 (if you visit the site now you'll see what I mean) the
forums are now open. So if you're not interested then sorry to waste your time
with this e-mail, but I think this may turn out to be a solid online classic
gaming community.

Thanks for your time,
AndrewM

Cool site. I'm starting a classic gaming magazine in the near future (including
TG16 material). I'll send the group subscription information once I figure all
that out. Should be pretty decent. Thanks again for the site,

Andy

they are suppose to be in wave format-try first without sound then
go from there.you have the latest version of the emulator-the best
out there.no you cant make the game into a zip,but into an iso,yea-
but magic emu wont load it up that way.Yame works-get it from
zophar.com-forget mess-its messed up for now.Roxio sucks for burning
games and isos,get nero...

Hey everyone. New guy here. I was wondering if anyone has an emulator
to play Dracula X Rondo of Blood for the PC Engine. I have the game
burned on to cd but it won't play in the Magic Engine(v99 beta2)
emulator that I have. I have the super system 3 card file. The isos
and the other mp3s are all on the cd. Are they suppose be in wave
format? Do I need the the beat5 version of Magic Engine to play it?

heard YAME could play the game. Does MESS play Super CDs? Also I
burned the game using Roxio and it works because you can hear Magic
Engine trying to acess the game.

Folks, sorry about the spams here as I've been busy, but I've made
changes now that will require new members to have posts approved by
me first, if anyone tries to post spams, he/she will be removed, if
they join again, their post(s) will need to be approved again so the
spams will be almost gone, so none of you will see any of those
except me.

Another thing, anyone trying to post URL of geocities, the member
will be removed and post will be deleted, period, waste of space
here.

Vince

Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim--A new PS2 version of the sixth
installment in Japan's most popular role-playing game
(pronounced "yeez") will come out in North America this winter.
Though Ys VI is already available in Japan for the PC, Konami
officials said the PS2 version will feature new characters and
levels.

That's from Gamespot.com, Konami unveiled a number of new games
coming out this year including Ys 6 & Suikoden 4(2 of my favorite
RPG series EVER!). Woo-hoo!
