It hooks up with the Famicom like the PCE and
CD-ROM.

The games are completely loaded in before playing.
Many games are two disks.

You can save on the
disks too.

Alot of the best NES games were only
available, or came out first on disk in Japan.

Games
like Castlevania, Zelda & Metroid.

The original
Metroid has save files.

The disk drives are
notorious for waring out and breaking down. Usually its
just a belt inside that can be replaced by a similar
one or, if done right, even a rubber
band.

Make sure you get the HUDSON harness for it if it
doesn't come with one.

Also be careful when buying
the games.

Most were generically printed out
at convenience stores. And a bunch aren't
official.

Only pay big bucks for complete original Nintendo
ones(usually yellow).

That's one reason I like switchouse. I have my account set up so I only accept
credit card payments. Switchouse collects the money then directly deposits it in

I added some PC-engine print ads to my page. Just
go to the bonus section... should be relevant from

On the contrary...factory sealed copies of Dracula X are incredibly rare, and in
high demand... at least here, where people will pay for sealed Turbo games.

I think Flash Hiders is one of the best, also,
Algunos isn't too bad, but, isn't incredible. Black Hole
Assault is questionable, & I've never played Asuka, so I
can't comment on that one. All the SNK ones are great.
My fav probably being Art of Fighting.

no, but ugtz is full of idiots as well as some
great traders. i get about 10 to 20 or so requests for
games a month there, but maybe 1 or 2 people actually
come through and actually pay up...=^P

some
people with loads of trades are real dicks and
dickettes. one woman wanted 3 ps2 games from me, but wanted
to send a personal check. i don't under any
circumstances take personal checks from new traders, no matter
how high their rating is, and it says so on my page.
still, she acted offended (REALLY offended) that i asked
for a damn money order and never got back to me. oh
well...=^P

In the last three years I've found the following
offline:

At garage sales:
Turbo system with box and maybe
4 games for $40 (I passed on this)
Turbo system
for $5 (got this, he threw in some mint game cases
too)
Turbo deck for $10 I think (passed)
Tennis game card
(my mom said she saw this, and passed)

At
Goodwill: (each item found on a sepparate
occasion)
Splatterhouse
Sonic Spike
Battle Royale
Legendary Axe
II
and
finally, a PC Engine game case (no game)

That's not
a whole lot considering how often I look, so it's
not surprising that you haven't found anything yet.
There's always hope that you'll find something great
though. I've found some great stuff going to garage
sales, most of it I'll never find again. It makes it
like a treasure hunt.

- Mike

1: Funny as it may be, it's true.
2: I've just
sold a sealed a month or so ago.
3: I have no clue
what DA is
4: I have enough customers to not have
to get over myself. Honestly, I can live w/o UGTZ...
if I don't have a want list, I get all kinds of
lousy trade offers. If I at least have a couple of
games, that cuts down unwarranted mails. I would close
the account, but I get some good traders every now &
again, which makes it worth it, but I hate having to
gauge their worth in the wake of pointless mails like
this.
5: You're the one ripping on peoples standards
sending unwanted mails. You don't even want to trade w/
me, so what's the point?

Paul

>I
Find it funny how people with 2 trades and no btr's
filed on bad trades
>always say they been riped
off. And yeah i have a Dracula X and a
Sapphire
>sealed and DA with everything and much more. Oh and
cause my email is
>Mindspring means your implying
i riped you off? Man you really need to

I'd really like to see a scan of your Cocoron, as I
honestly think your
>... well... I'll refrain

wanted list (which I've since
>attained) that
means you've got a sealed Dracula X. The last nimrod
that
>emailed me saying they had one, ripped me off, hence, the
"I only send
>first". Come to think of it, I
think he had an email account at mindspring,
>so
you an obviously tell where this is
going.
>> In short, I trust one person - ME, and a lot of
other people trust me, so
>if anyone wants one of

oh yeah, a lot of sellers put stuff on ebay
because they don't have to deal with people who want
"deals" because "nobody buys this stuff". occasionally
some joker comes in here with that line, which alway
makes me laugh. if you have to pay bills and rent,
would you rather make 5 bucks on a game in a shop, or
50 bucks on ebay?...=^P

I live outside of Milwaukee, and while not nearly
the size of NYC, I have the exact same problem. All
the small games shops say the same thing as yours...
no market for it. All of 'em post the stuff on eBay
and don't even put it out in the store, strictly
because of the money factor of eBay Vs. walk in
customers. I'd honestly say these game haven't been readily
available by me since '94.

well, we have SOME turbo stuff, but as time goes
by, the selection obviously gets smaller. people
aren't bringing in as much stuff as they used to, and
all the best stuff got snapped up earlier by smart
folks who didn't say "oh shit! you got dat game- hol'
it fo' me 'til nex' week!" when that happens, you
get six copies of keith courage instead of fighting
street or dracula x...=^P

that said and done,
ebay is a haven lately- i just snapped up a download
2, a couple of far east of eden games i didn't have,
and cosmic fantasy 1 & 2 for relatively cheap
prices...=^P

Kabuki Itouryoden would be the best.

The
only other decent fighter I can think of is Art Of
Fighting.

Soldier Blade isn't rare and doesn't normally go for THAT
much. You should be able to get it for $30 or
less.

The 'Special' versions are just lame demos given out
as promotional items at different times in japan.

Hey guys, was wondering what you guys consider to
be the best fighters on the system besides SF2:CE
and the Fatal Fury games? I'm sure there are some
that have been released under names which i just dont
recognize/not familiar with.

Also, about Soldier Blade.
Is this game considered rare? I hardly see it on
eBay, and when i do, most of the time its the special
one that fetches like $200.

And finally, a
small rant :) Living in New York f'n City, one would
think i would be able to find some hobby place that
sold used pce/turbo goods. There are a couple near me
that sell games from the Atari days til the present,
but no Turbo stuff! And both store owners say the
same thing, 'theres no market for the stuff.' Grrrrr!
I went to a couple of yard sales last year and came
up w/ nada. Internet purchases are fine and all, but
theres nothing like hitting the streets, wandering into
a shop, and have your eyes bulge when you see a
game that you've lusted after for a long time.
