See if thier is a source patch to modify a copy of the amiga cd to play as ntsc.
or a converter at least.. I hate when that shit happens.. they should make all
game systems all region compatible .

I have an Amiga CD32. It has a few ok games, but, so far, it mostly sucks.
Although half my games don't work, cuz they won't work in NTSC.

amiga cd i found, with 4 games for $60. I passed
on it. came across it in florida while looking for
RAD the movie at the pawn shops.
The marty towns i
owned is now sitting at a friends house between a neo
geo cd unit and turboduo on his game table. I wasnt
impressed by either unit.
Id rather play and try to beat
VIEWPOINT for the psx on its hardest level than buy another
one of those units.

there were a load of games for the cd 32, mostly
european & u.s. programmed titles, but there were/are a
lot of shooters, platformers, and adventure games. i
know that there was an akira adventure game for the
system, and some of the games turned up on the
genesis/mega drive as well...=^P

Thats what I figured.

I didn't follow the
Marty after it came out and wasn't sure if it was the
system I thought I had heard certain ports
for...

There are quite a few 'alternative' systems and
pseudo-consoles that have come out over the years.

And
most people(self proclaimed 'hardcore gamers' and game
mag editors) think that the PC Engine/Turbo is THE
'weird' other system that nobody ever played.

I once saw a system called Amiga 32, or
something, that was supposively 32-bit(and
CD-ROM).

It looks kinda like an X-Eye

I don't know
what games came out for it though other than a James
Pond.

track down an amiga cd 32, if you're interested in amiga's attempt at a cd-based
home console system. it had some decent ports of amiga stuff and a few original
titles as well...=^P

Ok! I kinda figured that it wouldn't surpass the
Duo but I did hear that there were some great
shooters for the sys. Didn't Thunderforce I come out for
it? I've been DYING to get my hands on that game.

As for Amigas, all are 3.5" disk based :), if you're
lucky, they might have come out with a cd-rom unit, but
I've never seen one for it. Amiga had some GREAT
shooters that no one else ever got btw :)

NOTHING has better games than
Duo.

Especially not FM Towns Marty.

The Marty has few
games(compared to major consoles) and as far as I know, R-Type's
the only decent one.

The Nintendo Famicom Disk
System is floppy disk based.

Commodore 64 and
some Amigas(?)... and MSX are floppy disk based.

Does anybody know if Turbo Play published any
magazines between Oct '92 & June '93? I have everything up
to Aug/Sept '92 and then my next issue in my
collection starts up again at July/Aug '93 as Duo World.
Also, were any Duo Worlds published after Dec '93? Or
was Nov/Dec '93 the last issue?
BTW, if anybody
has any Turbo Play mag's for sale/trade, please let
me know as I have 9 issues myself for trade as
well.

Mack

Ok...does this system use CDs or Floppy disks? I
thought disks but I think I'm wrong. And does the Marty
have better games than the Duo? Or just different? All
I've heard about it are rumors...no hard data.
Finally, what systems are floppy disk based?

it's basically a 3D tetris with a top-down viewpoint...=^P

I think your wrong on that as Technos Japan
didn't make any 32 bit titles as they were going out of
business at the time. I'm pretty sure their last game was
the Neo Geo Double Dragon 1 on 1 fighting game. Their
is a game with Nekketsu in the title both for the
Saturn and PSX. It's more or less a final fight clone
made by Technosoft.
