Coming from someone who has never owned it but
read a lot about it, the NCD is okay for old games
since they load all at once. For fighters, it's
alright, but avoid the higher-meg ones; the worst ever is
The Last Blade 2. The CDZ is still only single speed,
just with better caching, so it's not that much of an
improvement, in addition to their being particularly
unreliable pieces of hardware. Not as bad as the original
front loader NCD, but bad enough. Since it's only
really the fighters that go through the roof in the meg
count dept. It's not so bad on the whole. KoF '99 loads
for 30 seconds between…rounds? battles? I forget but
whatever makes sense to you is likely whatever it is
though I'm leaning towards battles. I hear that it's
fine for the "middle meg count" games. Not
instantaneous but not enough to make you kick the system and
let out curses.<br><br>Hope some of that helps.
