Hi Everyone I just joined i just got my ps2 this
past friday the 1st and i'm so happy i did it's the
best system ever, I also got gta 3 and sh 2 too start
off they are great games especially gta 3 it's the
bomb!!!!!!!!,Next games i am getting are MGS 2 and Case of
Emergency and March Madness and Dark Cloud,Everyone have a
great day John
How come the Xbox Council got deleted and the gamecube council and who deleted
them, what happend is the Club Council Era over? give me some feedback D2oJames.
No your not it's just that these clubs are really
getting unresposive. Hell the Xbox Council is "deleted"
on some days and right where it should be on other
days, so weird. It's tiresome to come to these clubs
anymore. Yahoo! needs to get off it's ass and convert
these to groups finally.
Hey guys, I got 2 more games as late Christmas
gifts. Max Payne and March Madness 2002.

Max
Payne is really cool. The story is told in an
interesting manner and the graphics are good. The control is
very tricky (I would much rather us a keyboard/mouse
combo like the PC version). Overall it is a lot of fun,
but not an outstanding game like I expected. I give
it a 7.

March Madness 2002 is quite the
disappointment. On one hand: the graphics are great, the sound is
awesome, controls are easy (like LIVE), and many of the
glitches from NBA Live have been addressed.
There is
also a decent create-a-school mode.

On the
other hand: THERE IS NO SEASON MODE. THERE IS NO
FRANCHISE/DYNASTY MODE. THERE IS NOT EVEN A CREATE-A-PLAYER OPTION.
WHAT THE HELL!? If this game offered a dynasty mode
similar to NCAA 2002, I would be playing it for the rest
of my life, but somehow all of these neat features
were left out. What do you get in their place you ask?
A simple tournament. What fun is the tournament if
you don't get to play throught the season? I give it
5. Damn EA for ruining such a potentially great
game.

Anyone else got any comments on either of these 2
games?

-Smitty-

GTAIII has what's called "open ended" gameplay.
The game allows you to do anything you like, well at
least crime related stuff. Nonetheless, good
stuff.

Everytime I see my friend play it I see a new location.
Truly amazing.
I love this game and there isn't a single vehicle
I haven't jacked. I've even jacked a FBI cruiser
and beleive me it wasn't easy. My favorite cars to
jack are the "lobos" because of the hydraulics. I
learn different things about this game almost everytime
I play it. My favorite thing I found was when your
driving in the first person perspective if you hold down
the L2 or R2 buttons you actually see the driver
point his gun out the window while doing a drive-by.
When you shoot out the passenger side he even turns
the gun sideways.

As for the FF series I'm not
a fan. I'm a Phantasy Star Online fan. I don't like
the turn based fighting in the FF games.
I agree that GTA3 is an awesome game. I've had it
for about 1 month now and still enjoy running around
causing as much chaos as possible. It's hard to even
continue with the story sometimes.

As for FFX, I'm
in the Macalania Woods right now. I've only been
able to play for about 30 min. this week. I am still
really enjoying the game and the sphere grid is really
beginning to create very diverse characters. I get worried
everytime that I pass a Level 1 or 2 lock. I keep thinking
that I will be passing up some type of major ability
something.

Later guys.

-Smitty-
I know I went ot at least 5 places before I found
a copy. I don't know about them taking it off the
shelves but If you can't find it see if you can order it
from the rockstar site if they have a site anyway. I
found out new things this game can do everyday. A
friend came over to check it out and he likes driving in
the first person point of view and when you do
drive-bys in this view on the driver's side (L2 button) you
see the driver's face and see him point the gun out
the window. On the other side (R2 button) you see him
turn the gun sideways out the window. you have to try
the cars with the hydraulics those are the coolest
cars in th game.
I've played GTAIII over a friends house and it's
damn good. I've gone out four separate occasions to
buy it but it's always sold out. If I don't get the
original then I won't buy a re-release version. I won't
play watered down politician bullshit.
This guy is right. You should get this game and
as soon as possible because they are pulling the
original version off the shelves. They are going to be
releasing an edited version and you will not be able to buy
the original from what I hear. A guy I work with went
to buy it at Best Buy and they had already pulled
it. So get it quick if you can find it because it is
an excellent game.
Go get this game if you like a game that lets you
go loose on a city and let you do whatever you want
of course until the cops come anyway. You can jack
anything with wheels in this game even cop cars and if you
stand in one place too long the people in the game will
try and jack you. It's very hard to just do your
missions because you always get side tracked jacking and
killing people. This game is so fun it should be against
the law. pun intended.
Actually NBA2K2 has improved a lot over 2K1 most
of all in the low post game. The big guys can do
drop steps to get around defenders now. It has all the
new rules and zone defenses that EA didn't put in NBA
Live 2002. You don't have to manually do alley oops
anymore if you have a open player running to the bucket
just pass it to him and he'll do the rest. They also
put in a new steal animation where the players can
jump into the passing lanes and intercept passes now.
The only problem the DC version had was the fast
break passing when you have your team running the floor
sometimes one of the guys your passing to will stop to
catch the pass instead of catching it on the run thus
messing up your fast break. Other than that no other
B-ball game can touch 2K2.
Thanks dude. I'm probably going to go ahead and
buy 2K2 anyway. I should be able to get about $30-35
for my copy of Live. The only problem I have with my
sports games is the fact that they take up so much
friggin room on my memory cards. Between Madden, NHL, NBA
Live, NCAA, and WWF I have 2 full memory cards. Not to
mention the 2 MB space for the DVD player/remote. I
really wish I could get ahold of that hard drive
already. I'd be willing to buy it just to stop fussing
with so many cards.

I heard today that Ninja
Gaiden will be coming to PS2. Does anyone know anything
about that?

-Smitty-
I've been a fan of NBA Live for many years now,
but the past 2 for the PS2 have really let me down.
Sure the graphics and sound are great, but the actual
play kinda sucks. Has anyone else tried to grab a
rebound in this game? Especially Live 2002. It's actually
worse than Live 2001. Can anyone provide me with some
input about NBA2K2? How does it compare to NBA Live?

Just letting everyone know that I’m dumping this screen name for a new one. I’ll
continue to post under the new name “d2ojames”

I’ll post under that name
to confirm this.
The one thing that really pisses me off is the
fact that Tidus kinda blows at Blitzball. He has
decent speed, average endurance, and hardly no attack or
pass skills. The only saving grace is if you learn the
Jecht Shot before the tournament. It is almost
unstoppable (if you can manage to get him in position). But
for being the Star Blitzball player, he just isn't
that good.

Still, Wedge and his amazing
statistics have won almost every game for me.

Anyway,
too many hours at work have not permitted me to do
any gaming this week. I hope to make up for lost time
next week.

-Smitty-
Yeah but Lulu isn't all slutty like Lara was
designed to be. She's showing mad cleavage but her
personality is more conservative than her way of dress.

I guess when you break down all the characters you
end up liking them all. Square will sell millions of
this game, they nailed it this time.
Hey count me in for Auron. You took the words
right out of my mouth. Auron is truly a badass indeed.
I also liked Aeris from FF7, I was disapointed to
see her die, one of the most memorable scenes in FF
history.
Good call BigD. The voices really do help bring
the characters to life. Another thing that I forgot
to mention was the fact that no FF character until
now could "stack up" to Lara Croft. I think you guys
know who I'm talking about. It's kind of hard to
miss.

-Smitty-

P.S. I'm talking about Lulu in
case anyone is a little slow on the uptake.
Sorry Dude, I guess the Blitzball has really been
adding to my game time. I'm just leaving Guadosalam with
23 hours exactly. I have played approximately 25
games of blitzball (with 23 wins). I didn't even
realize how much time 25 games would add to my total game
time. It works out to about 6+ hours. Also I've spent a
large amount of time wandering around save points to
fight monsters and level up before moving on.
I
guess when I start getting whooped by this boss, you
will be able to help me out by then.

-Smitty-
I feel that all the characters from FFX are some
how better then the other games. I think it is mostly
because, plain and simple, they speak. It is just so much
easier to connect with them because you can tell by the
tone of their voice and stuff how they feel (except
for maybe Kimahri, but still has a great presence in
the game). I for one liked the characters from all
the other FFs, but with the speech I have a reason to
listen to the story instead of evenutally getting tired
and mindlessly skipping through endless "speech
boxes". I agree also, that so far Auron is a badass and
is so far my favorite (Still trying to figure out if
his arm is hurt or if he just likes to rest it in his
coat like that for fun). My runner up would also be
Wakka just because he just seems like the regular guy.
I tend to agree on the ball thing though and how
does the blitzball actually hurt an enemy? As for
characters from other FFs, either Amarant from IX or Red
XIII or Vincent from VII.
-Big D-
