Anyone looking for any modifications or instructions to some they
know about? I know of a handful of them and will not mind posting
them or uploading them for anyone to use, that's what we're here for,
right?
I use a similar driver called NTPad XP. It's website is in poor
condition, aparently hacked, but it's a great driver:

I made one of those. But the only site I found with drivers that
worked was:
http://www.geocities.com/deonvdw/Docs/PPJoyMain.htm
Parrell Port Joystick. Mine works great with my NES emulator (FCE
Ultra). I haven't figured out how to get the Zapper to work with it
though. I don't think you can. Or if you can I'm sure you have to
plug it in to the 2nd port just like on NES.
Hey everyone, just wanted to say hi as the new guy here. I've been
looking for a group like this so I might get some mod ideas for my
site, www.neshq.com. If anyone is interested I'm always looking for
hardware mod FAQs/HOWTOs. Anyways, sorry for the spam, I just wanted
to introduce myself.

The difference in tv systems would make a difference. NTSC colour
system has a different colour system and a lower resolution.

It should work on a US TV. I want it to play US games on it and it
will be worth more if I ever sell it. If you want more information
send me an email. rimma@...
Just out of curiosity, why do you want an NTSC NES instead of a PAL?
I have an extra NTSC version I'd be willing to give up--I was just
going to use it to play around with some modifications anyways, so I
don't know why I couldn't use a PAL NES instead. Would I be able to
use the PAL the same, or would the difference in TV formats screw me
up? I'm in the US. I still want to be able to use the NES, but just
mess around with it a bit. If I can't use a PAL one, then I don't
want it.
I have tried lots of different ways to get my
snes controller to work on my NES, but none
of them work. Does any one know a way to
convert it that works?
