I wonder if the 900 mb hdf is messing with the IDE functionality ? I'll erase it and try again with just the 40 mb hdf.
btw, disregard my audio problem. shamefully I plugged the DE1 to a mono input :( silly ... there's no problem with audio.
I believe the CPU is already clocked at a higher frequency as sysinfo and which amiga show 16 MHz and 28 MHz.
But since there's no fast ram, it's not being put into good use.

Did you enabled the A600 Ide in the OSD ?
The HDF Support works for me but if i use it i have somtimes the same
audio problems as you described.
If A600 IDE disabled then audio is o.k.
Does anyone know how and if its possible to select a faster Cpu Clock ?

I just downloaded the latest package and copied the menue.sys from there to SD card. I had a spihost.rom file from a previous attempt which I didn't update. does it need to be updated ? I tried different kick.roms which didn't help. I boot from a workbench and load sysinfo which says scsi.device isn't there.
