Logistics is a bonus to your overall movement (the length of that
green bar next to your hero's portait)
Pathfinding is a reduction in the penalty you get for moving over
rough terrain (swamp, snow, etc)

Both skills will increase your hero's movement, but in different
ways. Pathfinding is useful if the map you are playing has a lot of
rough terrain. Logistics is universally useful, and unless the map I
was playing on had all rough terrain, I would usually pick logistics
over pathfinding.

Pathfinding make you able to travel over different terrains
faster....logistics allows you to travel faster over any terrain...if you
did not have pathfinding but you had logistics you would travel faster than
someone without logistics over the same terrain, but not as fast as someone
with both pathfinding and logistics.

Make sense? Or did I confuse myself?

Not CompUSA store. Http://www.compUSA.com on-line. They still have it for
$19.99 US.

here's what I did. I restored my game from right before I won the
Save the Queen (or whatever its called) scenario. I then won the
scenario and started the Spoils of war scenario right away. That
seemed the work. When I saved after I won the queen scenario, then
tried to start Spoils, I crashed. The trick seems to be to actually
win Queens, then start Spoils int he same session. After that I was
able to save the Spoils games and restart HOMM at will.

Hope this helps.

Camelot.ca (a computer book store in Montreal) sell Heroes
Complete for 70$ can. You can probably find better deals online.
Try these:

Outpost.com
mac-o-rama.com
macstation.com

Well, one thing you can do is e-mail 3DO explaining the problem and
hope they'll release a patch. Details about that are in earlier
messages on this list.

Other than that, I don't know... other people have said Spoils of War
worked if you finish one of the other campaigns first.

This doesn't really matter...just somethings I remembered. The Warlock
Alamar and the Warlock Jeddite both have specialty Resurection...
The Warlock Darkstorn and the Witch Merrist both have specialty Stone
Skin...
As well, a bunch of the heroes' specialties are 5% bonus to certain skils
(Eagle Eye etc.) and there are many common ones, as well as specialties +350
gp and +1 Resource.

Just an addition here, this is not (i guess), the hero who deteermine the
"free movement penalty" thing, but just the army. i.e : a knight with only
gargoyle and gremlin shoudn't have penalty on snow ....

They sure do. The only difference between two heroes, if they have
exactly the same primary and secondary skills, would be their
specialty, the spells they know, and their native terrain type. For
instance, a wizard hero's native terrain is snow, so wizard heroes
can travel over snow with no movement penalty (provided their army
consists of only native troops).
