They sure do. The only difference between two heroes, if they have
exactly the same primary and secondary skills, would be their
specialty, the spells they know, and their native terrain type. For
instance, a wizard hero's native terrain is snow, so wizard heroes
can travel over snow with no movement penalty (provided their army
consists of only native troops).
