Re: [gbadev] The Next DevKit Advance (was re: Stack)

I forgot about Objective C and pascal. It seems that these could work as well.
I do not see VHDL anywhere in my sources. Is it new?

It looks like the fastjar lib has not been ported to mingw yet, so Java support
will not compile without a little (low priority for me) work.

Look for the next devkit advance sometime today. I ran into a couple of snags,
but it should be posted by monday night if not sooner.

I meant kind of in a general way. GCC does have other languages than just
C/C++, Java, and Fortran though. To name a few: Ada, Objective C, Pascal, and
VHDL.

I have not tried to create a Java compiler, although I think it would be
neat. If someone wants to add support they are welcome to try.

As a quick experiment, I'll try configuring Java and seeing what happens.

Just wondering, but does DevKit Advance work for the other languages supported by GCC or just C/C++?...

Many languages supported by GCC aren't included in the main source distribution. You can download them from the Front Ends section on the GCC website though....

VHDL is a hardware description language, and is probably not appropriate for programming the GBA. Its used more for designing processors. Toby Jones Software...
