i have just released binaries and source for a new linux devkitadvance. It
now uses gcc 3.1, which has _HUGE_ improvements for anyone who uses c++. It
also has the latest binutils and newlib, and jeffs crt/lnkscript. The bugs
users have experienced with malloc (never saw them myself) should be fixed,
and the _many_ bugs in gcc (between 3.0->3.0.4) for c++ developers should be
fixed. Code optimisiation for all developers has also improved and there is a
noticible (for my project anyway) speed improvement. For source users, the
makefile does NOT work as expected, you must do the following and _not_ make
zip-packages:
make-stmp-binutils-all
make-stmp-binutils-install
make-stmp-gcc-all
make-stmp-gcc-install
There is also a failed hunk on the gcc patch, but if you read the error and
look at the two files it is very easy to do manually.
There is a 'possible' bug with c++ divide, but i am not 100% sure (maybe 1 in
20 chance) so if anyone experiences problems it would be great to get some
feedback.
As usual all can be found at:
www.doc.ic.ac.uk/~tb100/
Thanks
Tom Badran
