TS4 bitmap mode bug?   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #11208 of 15019 |
Hello All,

I just noticed that bitmap modes on a TS4 board are shifted by -1,-1 pixels
(showing the border on the bottom and right edge of the screen). I tried it
out on two TS4 boards and they both show the same bug. A 'real' gameboy does
show the bitmap the way it should (I tried it on two real gameboys).
Emulators show it correctly as well.

Anyone else came across the same problem? Can I assume that what the real
gameboy shows is okay? Or is there a register which is being initialized on
a real gameboy but not on the TS4 board?

(Background info: my game puts sprites on top of the bitmap... on the TS4
they are appearing one pixel lower than on a real gameboy... it makes the
game look weird on a TS4 board.)

Thanks in advance!

Greetings,
Jan-Lieuwe
