Hey everyone, I just heard over at Boob! (the
Dreamcast developments site) that Saturncast is running
NiGHTS at a fair speed.<br><br>Here is what they had to
say:<br>---------------<br>Saturn-cast, a Sega Saturn emulator for the Sega
dreamcast,
seems to be making great progress and a new website has
been opened. <br>The emulator is already apparatently
playing Nights at good speed. <br>Although some may think
this highly unlikely since pc saturn emus only run at
about 4fps on p3-800, since the dreamcast uses an Sh4
cpu, the saturn sh2 cpu takes little emulation work,
since the sh4 can run native sh2
code!<br>---------------<br><br>I don't fully agree with what is said there as
despite the CPU being an easy task to emulate theres
still the many custom chips to emulate which are NOT so
easy so we are yet to see if its possible to emulate
100% accurately without frameskip.<br>Still, if it IS
possible then it makes you wonder why Sega didnt bother
