Subject: Enter the Matrix!

If you ever wanted to enter the Matrix and beat the crap out of
countless police officers, SWAT teams and Matrix agents in slow-
motion just like in the movie. All I can say is that this game
really does capture the feeling of the movie. Could it be because
the people involved with the making of the game also worked on making
the movie. You get to play as Niobe and Ghost who play a minor part
in the "Matrix Reloaded".

The game itself is fast paced and fun to play. There are lots of
Matrix moves to perform and the now famous "Slow motion" fights.
There are lots of weapons and special kung-fu moves to use. The only
bad thing is that the game has lots of glitches. Enter the Matrix
offers a great storyline which may clear up many things about
the "Matrix: Reloaded" movie. Some things actually make the story
much more interesting and some open up more questions as to what is
going to happen in "Matrix Revolution".

To sum it up "Enter the Matrix" is just an average third person
action game. It is easy to play and incredibly fun if you are a
Matrix fun. Specially running on the walls in slow motion while
shooting at enemies and jumping to a wall and then pushing yourself
off it to deliver a flying kick to the face. Really innovative for a
videogame but it just doesn't do the movie justice. The vehicle
driving/shooting scenes really suck! because they are too
simple.

What I hated about the game was the glitches. Sometimes you shoot
enemies and they manage to punch you or shoot you back before they
fall. Maybe it is because I was using the slow motion but I really
hated it. Also sometimes when you arrived at a certain point the
game just takes over regardless of what you are doing and it flows
horribly from game to movie.

But there are lots of extras that can be unlocked by "Hacking"
into the Matrix using an onscreen keyboard and unlock the secrets.
You can also alter some of the environment inside the Matrix and
modify how you play the game.

There are some things you might need in order to enjoy the whole
Matrix saga. It is divided into three movies, one videogame and nine
short films. The videogame stars right where "The Last Flight of the
Osiris" short film left off. In order to fully enjoy the videogame
then I recommend you to watch the movie "The Matrix", The nine short
films "The Animatrix" (Coming out sometime soon), watch "The Matrix:
Reloaded" now on theaters (available on DVD in November, 2003) and
watch the conclusion the Matrix saga to be released in November of
2003 "Matrix Revolution". What really sucks is that the GameCube does
not play DVD's (It would be cool if they actually released movies in
the GameCube's min-DVD format).

Indeed, Enter the Matrix is a revolutionary title in that changes
the movie-videogame that has not been pleasant over the years. Lots
of crappy games based on movies have been released over the years.
It enhances the experience of going to watch a movie and then playing
its videogame. The videogame has some interesting ideas and it could
have been better had all the glitches fixed. It got moderate Reviews
from Gamespot and IGN. I really do hope to see more videogames like
this over the next few years.

P.S. I really enjoyed the Persophone/Niobe scene which really gave
me more insight into what kind of character Persephone was. There
are lots of more character development such as the
Merivingian/Persephone relation. Who is Ghost? and what happens to
Niobe and Ghost at the end of the Matrix Reloaded movie.

Acclaim has finally shipped "Burnout 2: Point of Impact". This is
a really great racing game. The thing that sets Burnout 2 apart from
other racing games is that you earn points by driving recklessly and
not crashing. You get points for going against traffic and having
near misses. Burnout 2 has the coolest crashes on any driving
videogame ever. There are lots of cars to choose from and to unlock
and thirty locations to drive in ncluding Miami, New Mexico and Los
Angeles. Burnout 2 is a really good sequel to a really good game.
Burnout was one of my favorite racing games on the Nintendo
GameCube and it was sad to see the sequel as a Playstation 2 only
exclusive. If you are into racing games then get this game ASAP.
And if you are angry and filled with road rage from driving in
traffic trying to make it to your destination in time then this game
will help you relieve all your stress.

I was surprised to see a Nintendo related article on my copy
of "Newsweek" magazine. The article is on the April 7, 2003 issue
and page 68. The article " A BRIGHTER GAMEBOY " praises the Gameboy
Advance SP and all of its new features such as a rechargeable battery
and its ability to connect with the Nintendo GameCube. "The Legend
of Zelda: The Wind Waker" is also mentioned as one of the games that
takes advantage of the GameCube-Gameboy connection cable. The
author, Joe Hutsko, then compares the graphics of "Zelda: The Wind
Waker" to those of a Hayao Miyazaki anime film.

Well, after months of waiting for the most pre-ordered videogame
in history, it arrived at my doorstep. And let me say that this game
is awesome!. They have used a new cartoonish look and feel. The
game looks amazing, it reminded me of the first time I played the
Super Nintendo Zelda game now available on the Gameboy Advance. You
have full control of your character. The dungeons have lots of
puzzles to make you work your problem solving skills. Not only that
but there are things that you can do to amuse yourself such as
chasing pigs, talking to people, bothering people and destroying
people's things. There is just so much you can do and so many places
to explore.
The game looks like it was made for children but even older people
such as myself will enjoy it. Ther cartoony look was not as cool as
having more realistic looking characters but the cartoon look is
certainly more entertaining and fun to look at. The animations in
the game flow smoothly like a cartoon. I have only been to the first
dungeon though but I'm sure it only gets better after you get more
items to use such as the grappling hook, bombs, enemy weapons, etc.
This is the game that makes me happy I own a Nintendo GameCube.
First it was Metroid Prime and now Zelda!

PS. Two player can enjoy the game by linking the Nintendo GameCube
to the Gameboy Advance. The player on the Gameboy Advance can help
or annoy the one playing in the GameCube trough a special feature.

A great Internet Research Company has offered to pay members in
Amazon gift certificates if they decide to take Online Surveys. The
good thing is that this company is International and people from
different countries can sign up. I posted the link to the website as
a text file on the Files section under the name "CASH". Just click
on the file and then on the link that opens up. You also get $.50
for every person that you get to sign up. The company ususally E-
mails invitations to surveys around 10 times per year. It is a great
way to earn money to spend at Amazon.

You can get more information about the company at the website.
Thanks for your time and I hope to have better things to offer later
in the year.

Well guys as you know Online gaming on the GameCube is not that
popular with only "Phantasy Star Online" supporting online gameplay.
Now I have heard news of a certain Keyboard for the Nintendo
GameCube. The Keyboard is called "Powerboard". Apparently this
keyboard is suppossed to complement the new Action replay. Typing
cheat codes with the controller usually takes a long time. This is
also a great accessory because it is compatible with the "Phantasy
Star Online" videogame. It looks really good. It is like a normal
computer keyboard and it costs only $20. It looks like the GameCube
online gaming revolution is starting to pick up. Let's just hope
there are more online games later in the year.

Three extremely cool games are being released this week. "Super
Mario Sunshine" is one of Nintendo's greatest 3D platform games.
There are new powerups and new moves performed by using a water
pump. Yoshi is also in the game. Buy this game and help Mario
discover who framed him for the theft of the Shines in Dolphin
Island. Also "Super Monkey Ball 2" features lots of games featuring
monkeys trapped on transparent balls. The games include billiards,
bowlings, Target practice, racing, pool, golf, puching game, and many
others. What is great about this game is that it is highly addictive
and up to four people can play at once. Now there is something for
the adult gamers "Turok: Evolution". This game is a first-person
shooter and it has what it takes to rival most of the PC first
shooting games like Doom, Unreal tournament, and many others. Great
graphics, dinosaurs to haunt, four player battle mode, the ability to
fly in dinosaurs and lots of guns. What is good about this game is
that it is rated M. Aren't you glad you bought a Gamecube?

Capcom will be realeasing his megahit fighting game. "Capcom VS. SNK
2: Extreme Offense. In the game two gigantic corportions want to
settle their differences in a martial arts tournament. Over fourty
fighters that come from Capcom's and SNK's other fighting games join
the tournament. The game features the GC-ism that could only be
achieved with the Game Cube control. Apparently all the special moves
will be performed with the C control Stick. The Kicks and Punches
have are performed with the L and R buttons. This game takes
advantage of these buttons' pressure sensitivity meaning that the
harder you press them, the stronger your attack will be. Of course
there will be the option of playing with a AC-ism which is the normal
button configuration. There will also be an advanced combo system
called GROOVE. Different GROOVES will allow for different
combination of attacks. The Graphics will also improve over the
Arcade and Dreamcast versions. This game could be one of the best
one on one fighting games for the Gamecube. Super Smash Bros. is
still the best four Player fighting game out there!

Yeah I agree with you "Gamecube is the Best". I really like playing
Super Smash Bros. Melee. Although at first I had doubts about the
future of the console since PS2 and X-box had DVD format catridges.

Well it seems that Super Mario Sunshine is selling well in Japan.
I heard that it is oriented toward teenager and adults because it
might be too hard for the younger gamers. In Super Marion Sunshine,
Mario has taken a vacation to Dolphic island with Princess Peach and
grandpa toad. When they arrive at the Island Mario and company find
out that there is slime covering it and the "Shines", the ones that
provide light to the island have scattered. The island is encased in
darkness now.
A Mario impostor was responsible for all of this and Mario takes
the blame. He now has to clean up the city, restore the Shines and
find out who the impostor is. He is given a pretty cool waterpack
similar to the vacumm Luigi used in Luigi's Mansion except that is
shoots water. You can also use it to hover, propell yourself, squirt
enemies with it and water plants to make them grow. Yoshi will also
play a part in the game. There are many different colored Yoshis
with different abilities. The gameplay is similar to Mario 64 for
the Nintendo 64.
I'm very excited about this game. Even though Luigi's Mansion was
an OK game, it does not compare to the fun of a Mario game. Super
Mario Sunshine will be released on August 24, 2002 in the US.
