No, it shows you your current connection speed becau
se each and everytime I connect with the PW browser
the connection speed is different. The connection us
ually hangs around in the 40s because my ISP sucks.

If you're that desperate to make space on your VMU,
just send the game file to your own e-mail address a
nd let it sit there. I still do that to this very da
y and my game files do not get corrupted from sittin
g in the POP3 e-mail.

Maybe your connection is a little slow. Those vids take time to

Hi all,

I set up my Softhome account yesterday, and sending
emails (smtp) is awfully slow (nearly 10 times slower
than Yahoo!).
I was trying to send the remaining Dreameye vid that I
made last weekend (or the weekend before that) to
myself to test it worked and it was slow. Then it only
made 2/3's of the transfer before stopping altogether.
I waited a good 2 minutes before cancelling and trying
again. The same thing happened.

Is this just a bad night or is softhome.net always
this slow?
I really wanna get my vids posted onto my email and
the Dreameye Group, coz I need the VM space (before
you say get another VM, I already have 12 official
Sega ones, 2x GAME 4MB and 2x Joytech 4MB all full of
games saves, pictures I really wanna keep and a few
DCBG files)

Regards,
Andrew B

You need to Register with your Planetweb 2.6 Disc, you
can select Dreamcall from the Planetweb Disc Menu
screen instead of going online and clicking on the
telephone, i cant understand why that doesnt work for
you, maybe you have a faulty copy?

Dreamcall Planetweb still works fine, i used it just
yesterday after i'd registered for a new number :(

I'm beginning to wonder whether my problem with
Planetweb v1 flashing my Internal Memory may of had
something to do with the Boot Disc i used, the Free
Demo of the Exploder Cheat Disc, but i dont fancy
checkin it out with my DC-X Lol.

Its nothin to do with me pressing buttons by accident,
for one i dont even have a Joypad in Port 2, which you
need to do to perform the Internal Flash.

Thanks, i've done that but doesnt that just show

meant, connect between and no higher than 45333,
v42bis meaning Error Correction On?

you can try with my uploader+extractor
http://bswirl.stormnetwork.net/vmu/save/public/uploader.php
after the uploading you can transfer
the extracted file to your site by
filling the form with your ftp
settings and submit it, it uses

hope it will help

Hi

I've recently been having problems uploading midi files at snow.prohost.com

They transfer to my website, but don't work, all they do is link to the midi on
the prohost site (and don't load). does any one know why these problems have
been occuring only over the past few weeks, and if there is some way around
this.

thanks.

TIP OF THE WEEK -- REDIRECT SINGLE SEARCH RESULT TO URL INSTEAD OF SEARCH
RESULTS PAGE

If you take a look at your search report you may notice that many of your
search queries have resulted in only one matching result. For those
searches, your visitor had to enter their query, get the search result
page, and then click on the one very lonely search result that was
displayed before they could see the Web page. You can improve this
experience by adding the following cgi input line into the search form on
your Web site:

<input type=hidden name="sp-redirect-if-one-result" value="1">

With this command in your search form, queries from your site that result
in only one result will automatically display the matching Web page instead
of displaying the search results page. For queries that return more than
one matching results, the search results page will appear as usual.

If you make this change to your search form, don't forget to make the same
change in your search template for subsequent searches.

As for the PS2 getting Online Intenet Browsing, i've

released with the Hard Drive in the USA first so us
UK'ers will have to wait :( But they ar being very coy
about it, not releaing to many hard facts.
PS2 Online Gaming kicks off in Europe in JUNE finally
and then it will have limited Browsing Capabilities,
Set Top Box style from what i was told until the Hard
Drive/Browser are released. Also Sony have entered
into a Deal with AOL to provide Online Content for the
PS2 like Instant Mesaging, Downloadable Music/Movies
etc

The only game that I had that supported the Pocketst
ation was Arc the Lad 3 in Arc the Lad Collection. I
t was used for Choko's minigame, however, you could
also play it on the game itself so it wasn't necessa
ry to download the game to the Pocketstation. I don'
t know a single person who even has a Pocketstation
to tell you the truth.

For some odd reason Bomberman Online just wouldn't c
onnect higher than 28k. Sega's comment regarding tha
t was that because of how simple of a game B.O. was,
a faster connection wasn't necessary. However, I be
gged to differ. Sometimes the lag would be so bad it
would take 3-4 seconds for a bomb to appear after l
aying it. *LOL* Anyways, it's not your modem, B.O. j
ust doesn't connect at a fast speed.

All you have to do is turn on the option "show verbo
se modem messages" in the options in any PW browser.
Most of the time my ISP connects me at 44k tops. I
think that's just the limit for that ISP in particul
ar because there was one ISP where I actually connec
ted at 50k.
