Don't pay those Insain prices of $50-75+ Anymore, as you can own 3.0 for a Total
of $24.95!!! Contact KenSoohoo@... to order or you can wait untill
they get up their eBay ad. They'll take Cashier's Check or a Money Order, no
need for Credit Cards or PayPal!

For those that don't know anything about the 3.0 Browser it features:
- Limited 4.0 Flash, The ONLY DC Browser to have such.
- Limited Java ver 1.1.8, Again the ONLY DC Browser to have such!
- BBA (BroadBand Adaptor) Support! The ONLY US DC Browser to support it!

Along with returning features like IRC Chat and limited MP3 support!

Support Planetweb, they deserve it for taking the chance, with their own
money&time, to finish and get the 3.0 Browser released after Sega scapped plans
for it!

Yeah, I know what you mean.

I just picked up Heavy Metal Geomatrix from Ebay yesterday. I still have Seaman,
Headhunter and a few other games I still wanna get :) Still not started D2 yet
though... I guess I'll play that once I finish off ZElda: Windwaker (Gamecube).

i did wanna mention how im alternatively enjoying my dc versus the
homebrew scene.i now focus on finding the many titles i never
played(and there is way more than enough to keep me busy on dc for
some time to come..),looking for the rare titles that dc had that many
might have overlooked,etc..dont get me wrong..i have enjoyed much in
the homebrew community..just not the actual homebrew games..things
like the homebrew apps,players,emus,ports,etc.

the dc homebrew community is strongest in
porting,emulation,applications for dc.

they have some catching up to do in the actual gaming area.

most dc homebrew is whack...and i dont consider emulation part of

Yes, but you forget a few things:

1) Sprite (2D) based games are easier and quicker to make.

2) Creating polygon models from scratch (plus the PVR textures) would take
atleast twice as long as it does to make the 2D games.

3) Creating polygon (3D) games is much much harder and would require alot more
resources than is currently available to the homebrew scene. For example
creating and converting polygon models and/or motion data to the DC's native
format would require official devkit's which are, technically, illegal for
anyone to own other than an official software developer which paid Sega for it
and a licensing aggreement.

I'm sure there are other reasons too... besides alot of great games are 2D -
either in visuals and/or in gameplay.

I'd buy it, just like I plan to buy Beggar Prince
for Genesis. Better then no new games at least!
Plus the only reason the homebrew developers do
2D is because that's all they can really do
without a DC Development kit, any good 3D project
is too hard for most and would be very limited
without the kit.

Dear members,

The NG DevTeam have come up with a new game for the Neo Geo AES. They plan to
port it to the Dreamcast (and one other platform). I have subscribed to the DC
mailing list and will let you know when I have more info.

The game is called Last Hope and is a side/vertical-scrolling shoot'em up
featuring up to 4 layers of parrallax scrolling :) The visuals look great and I
hope they get it ported pronto.

Not that I am aware of. As far as I know it needs time to "learn" what's spam
and what isn't. It has successfully identified one email as spam (woohoo!) and
seems to automatically reject some emails (the erm... adult pills ones) that are
cross-posting.
While the amount of spam seems to have gone down the amount of Japanese spam has
gone up - hence the reason for all these emails with nonsensical characters in
them. If viewed on a Japanese compatible browser they might make sense, but are
generally useless to us.

Yahoo have been fiddling alot lately, certainly for the worse for dial-up users
- dial-up rules!

Take your time when deleting spam. It is so easy to delete the wrong email, I
know because I did it once. Luckily I still had the original email in my inbox
and was able to forward it to the group - members would have got it twice of
course, but atleast it was preserved in the archive :)

the default string for planetweb is AT&F0 that's a zero..i always got
the best speed with that string myself.

and atleast with dp(ie:dreampassport 3 +)..this string always rendered
the best speed for me as well.

Official page is now up.....
http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/browser/index.html

The site's Q&A section reveals a few bits on what we can and cannot expect
from the browser. First, the good. The browser supports full stylus-based
controls, for scrolling and jumping between pages, and even for inputting
characters through direct handwriting or via a software keyboard. The
browser keeps track of previously entered phrases so you won't have to enter
them again.

Now for the bad. The browser won't be capable of displaying Flash and PDF,
nor will it support video and sound. While you can save bookmarks to your
favorite pages, you cannot save images or other elements of pages.

Pretty cool looking though......

Actually, I doubt Sega will ever make a comeback to the console market. It would
be safer (and perhaps wiser) to concentrate on making the best games for the
current and next-gen systems. They might have a chance of making a popular (and
profitable) console in 10 years when Nintendo, Microsoft or Sony have been
knocked out of the console market. Entering the market sooner I think would be
almost suicidal, regardless of how much money they have.

ala "mama said knock you out"...sega is making a strong and silent

i have been following sega/sammy profit margins since just before the
merger.and for a period of time,it seemed they just were not gonna get
it together.but in the last 2 years.they have made huge strides out of
what some would have called semi-bankruptcy in late 2002(what was just
sega then),to a 31% profit increase over last fiscal year(what is now
sega/sammy).sammy's complete overhaul of the corporate ladder at sega
has made the company viable again...although sammy's gambling machine
division has taken some minor losses over the past year, its sega
gaming division has more than made up for those losses with robust
game sales over the last fiscal year...in other words..they did such a
good job fixing sega..that it is now proping up their main division..a
nice role reversal from the early years when they were eating sega
salad for breakfast,lunch and dinner!

it's good to see sega doing well..theres even been a flurry of rumors
about a sega console..some are calling it "epic"...you know..the same
ole..but this time the rumors seem to have a more ad driven
basis...maybe its sega/sammys way of stoking the ole software sales fires.

either way..the only way we shall ever see another sega console is
with top company earnings that are sustained over a number of
years.and also with sammy in the driver seat...which doesnt seem to be
so bad after all.

anyway enjoy the news article.

It was discovered one or two years ago, how to overclock the DC, but it
is quite a difficult process... I wouldn't put in danger any of my DC's.

Check out the screens. There does appear to be some
kind of toggle switch. Just wondering how (or if it really
is possible) to "overclock" the chip. I have 2 DC's, one
I'm willing to experiment with. Any ideas?

I was on my Dreamkey updating some bookmarks recently....

Some interesting WebTV/DC screens were posted here
http://forum.teamxbox.com/showthread.php?referrerid=101011&t=339514

Or http://snipurl.com/rtop
He also posted some really good info....

I must have 400+ bookmarks spread out over several browsers
and many vmu's. A lot are DC related, some are dead, and quite
a few were bookmarked for future reference only to be buried
and long forgotten. Still, never know what I might run across.

oh he's going to sale it to me still, it's just
the guy has never sold anything on ebay before.
his ebay account I think was his personal account
and then he liked moved or whatever from VA to PA
to open a retail store I guess, and when he did
this he forgot to set his ebay account for the
store addy.

so he had me end up sending a 1st payment money
order of $65 out to his old address, that so far
hasn't came back and hasn't been cashed. I
started to 1st feel like the guy was just trying
to scam me. I'll hopefully get this resolved in
te next couple of days now that I got a PayPal
account, but I'm $65 in the hole untill the damn
money order returns.

I agree.

Sign in and go to the items page. You will see a list of various options that

Well it seams either the saler I'm buying the BBA from it either A) A Fraud or
B) The biggest dumb ass ever. He emailed me from his hotmail addy stating the
address his ebay account was set for is the Wrong Address and then has the nerve
to say "email me back to get the correct address". wtf? he could of just said it
right then.

What should I do? How do I file a complaint to Ebay if needed?
