ala "mama said knock you out"...sega is making a strong and silent
comeback...

http://biz.gamedaily.com/industry/news/?id=12708

i have been following sega/sammy profit margins since just before the
merger.and for a period of time,it seemed they just were not gonna get
it together.but in the last 2 years.they have made huge strides out of
what some would have called semi-bankruptcy in late 2002(what was just
sega then),to a 31% profit increase over last fiscal year(what is now
sega/sammy).sammy's complete overhaul of the corporate ladder at sega
has made the company viable again...although sammy's gambling machine
division has taken some minor losses over the past year,its sega
gaming division has more than made up for those losses with robust
game sales over the last fiscal year...in other words..they did such a
good job fixing sega..that it is now proping up their main division..a
nice role reversal from the early years when they were eating sega
salad for breakfast,lunch and dinner!

it's good to see sega doing well..theres even been a flurry of rumors
about a sega console..some are calling it "epic"...you know..the same
ole..but this time the rumors seem to have a more ad driven
basis...maybe its sega/sammys way of stoking the ole software sales fires.

either way..the only way we shall ever see another sega console is
with top company earnings that are sustained over a number of
years.and also with sammy in the driver seat...which doesnt seem to be
so bad after all.

anyway enjoy the news article.

It was discovered one or two years ago, how to overclock the DC, but it
is quite a difficult process... I wouldn't put in danger any of my DC's.

I was on my Dreamkey updating some bookmarks recently....

Some interesting WebTV/DC screens were posted here
http://forum.teamxbox.com/showthread.php?referrerid=101011&t=339514

Or http://snipurl.com/rtop
He also posted some really good info....

I must have 400+ bookmarks spread out over several browsers
and many vmu's. A lot are DC related, some are dead, and quite
a few were bookmarked for future reference only to be buried
and long forgotten. Still, never know what I might run across.

oh he's going to sale it to me still, it's just
the guy has never sold anything on ebay before.
his ebay account I think was his personal account
and then he liked moved or whatever from VA to PA
to open a retail store I guess, and when he did
this he forgot to set his ebay account for the
store addy.

so he had me end up sending a 1st payment money
order of $65 out to his old address, that so far
hasn't came back and hasn't been cashed. I
started to 1st feel like the guy was just trying
to scam me. I'll hopefully get this resolved in
te next couple of days now that I got a PayPal
account, but I'm $65 in the hole untill the damn
money order returns.

B) The biggest dumb ass ever. He emailed me from his hotmail addy stating the
address his ebay account was set for is the Wrong Address and then has the nerve
to say "email me back to get the correct address". wtf? he could of just said it

What should I do? How do I file a complaint to Ebay if needed?

Kinda going off-topic here, but you may be interested on reading about the news

Oh, and you may want to read about CommVEx 2 (Commodore Vegas Expo 2) which will

I haven't got Radilgy yet, nor have I had time to check out Cool Herders which I
got months ago!

I did not even think once of buying one of this new systems . Many
don't understand me but im happy with what i have .

A Dreamcast + my 7 Yeahrs old Pc I play quake with "+My commodore :)
C64" . Im far away to finish all the games i own . Yust spend 8 hours
this + the last week trying to beat Under Defeat "Score not even over
800 thousand" "And theres still radilgy that should be delivered soon
i hope" .

Only thing i plan to buy in the next months/Yeahrs is a Ps2 but only
for the Online play . But from what ive read the ps2 is going the same
way the DC have done "So not sure if i should buy" . Most games get
shutdown yust not all of a sudden like on the dc they die slow :/ .

I think i should yust continue play dc+pc online . It's cheaper
afterall ...

speaking of sony and the playstation..who plans on buying the
overpriced PS3?

this is one fella that aint even givin it a second look.i like
nintendo's strategy.keep it simple and cheap,but still keep the net
connectivity as a viable option for all.nintendo isnt stupid,they see
M$ and sony floppin like fishes out of water.both companies have saw
some big loses lately...namely sony.in the meantime nintendo(largely
due to their handheld market)has gained significant ground in
competeing with the two..and has even seen profit,which the other two
have to strain like a constipated bull to say...LOL

Hi folks,

Firstly, a quick thank you to whoever has deleted the spam that was in our
message archive. I went to do it tonight and found it spotless :)

Also, some of you (mods only?) may have noticed a "Spam" folder (3rd link from
top) among the other links (message archive, photo's etc. on left of page) on
the groups main page. It is effectively a spam folder for the groups mail.
This means that some messages may get delayed from being posted onto the group
and hopefully will reduce the amount of spam that get's sent to our group,
whilst keeping the groups pages open for members and non-members alike.
The feature was activated automatically but can be switched off by
owners/moderators by going into the relevant section under management options.

I hope this new arrangement is a big success :)

Oh, BTW, the StarLancer servers are still up. I had problems connecting to them
in February and assumed they had closed! I was online with JMC at 9pm (UK time)
last Friday.

ouch! those BBA's are STILL priced waaay to high..heh...damn they were
priced like that what 4 years ago? has to be because of their rarity.i
never saw much use for one.the whole coding thing is about all i see
them being good for.and with the mediocre stuff that is mainly pumped
out by dcdvvers...that doesnt even justify the cost..IMO..

who's up for some SPACE QUEST 5??? LOL...loved that game...oldie from
pc..ROGER WILCO!!!..now that would be cool on dc.

Although I have not modded this list for several
years, I personally don't see why posting the updated
link/info would be a problem.... especially at this
point in time.

Try this scroller script and you will see a internal clock on your vmu.
<script>
document.write('<embed type=application/x-dreamcast-lcdticker text="'+new
Date()+' DreamCast" hidden=true font="17" scrolldelay="30">');
</script>

Or this to hide the plugin message from pc browsers.
<script>
if(navigator.platform.indexOf('Dreamcast')!=-1)
{document.write('<embed type=application/x-dreamcast-lcdticker text="'+new
Date()+' DreamCast" hidden=true font="17" scrolldelay="30">');
    }
  </script>

Speaking of clock,
x-avefront://---.dream/proc/menu/sntp
Alot of you already know this xavefront command for internal clock and connected
time, there is another way without use that xavefront.
Try it with DP browser
Look at the right bottom corner on the status bar. you will see a clock, drag
your cursor arrow over the clock and hit A+Start button at same time, clock and
connected time will appear.
If you have a mouse drag arrow over the clock and hold Left Click and push Thumb
button, clock will appear. I still have some command for DK but i dont have a DK
to test it.

i noticed that karl has allowed some posts on xdp in the past,so i
figured this was cool to post for people.in case it isnt just mod and
delete it.

http://xdp.chasergame.org/

there are MANY dc browsers available.i would stick to the guys
download rules if you want these to stick around long.as downloads of
dc browsers is becoming extremely scarce..especially of upodated
kinds.the current one is just over 40 megs i think.

i know many cant download seeing as they are on dc...but its the best
and most current thing i can find for ya.

hope it will do.
