Good to see you trying to get hold of a BBA unit. Personally I'm happy on
dial-up :)

For the forseeable future the groups posts will not be monitored. The reason
being is that this is an oen group for sharing information and many places link
to here. I do delete spam on a weekly basis (or try to), but every group gets
spammed these days - even some that are moderated! :(

On a DC relevant note I have been playing Virtua Tennis 2 the last 2 days and
probably for a while longer to get me in the mood for Wimbledon :)

You should always check the official website for the server your
playing on . http://www.schtserv.com

Onlineconsoles.com reported that pso japan version is now free to play
and they shut down isao and such "ch@b ect"
http://dreamcast.onlineconsoles.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6453

The way the auth servers work now have changed , if you use a Japan
copy or US/NTSC copy you have to change the cheat code to connect to
the server .

<COPYED FROM http://www.schtserv.com/>

[ 22/05/2006 ]
It make over half a years that i updated this page and alot of thing
happened. Let start with the most importent.

Sega have made a change on the HL server for dreamcast to make PSO JP
free to play, this change make PSO DC US unable to connect, fallow
those step to fix your problem :

dialup user:
add this to the current connect code of the codebreaker
US V2
022ED530
646f7370
022ED534
736e6463
022ED538
6874612e
022ED53C
0078632e

EU V2
this version doesnt have a hl check server

JP V2
This version have a network option in the WEBSITE menu of pso
you can go in (WEBSITE -> left trigger-> option -> network) and add
my ip as dns server or any other dns server that redirect u to the new
hl server.

BBA user:
go in the network setting using pso or planetweb3.0
change nothing except the dns ip.
you can put my ip or any other dns host that have the new setting
save the new config and play like usual

for DNS Server owner make sure to redirect auth01.dricas.com to
202.221.244.21

for more help see this toppic: forum
http://z7.invisionfree.com/PSO_SERVER_HOME/index.php?showtopic=4758

As second subject: 3 new quest have been putted online,.......
................
...................

If you ask me yust buy a legit copy of PAL PSO and your set to play
"on Official And Unofficial servers" forever , as i don't think us
and JAP version will last that long . The auth check has still not
been cracked , and will never with that small coders group .

The european servers are still running and almost cheater-free. If you
want you can try importing a PAL copy of the game (a sealed one so you
can use the SNAK).

Jim could you give us more info? Have you tried creating another
character, in a different vmu and see if you can go online?

The DC's interal battery is just to power the
clock, nothing more.
The serials are saves to the Flash Memory, just
like your ISP settings. If the DC keeps asking
for your serials, then it keeps deleting them for
some Odd reason. Are you using the Official DC
Magazine PW 2.6 Browser? it had a rare bug that
caused such.

The Private Servers don't care about the original
PSO Sega Server data that kept it confined to 1
DC, as long as you have a serial the Private
Servers will let you on. So either the servers
have been having trouble with DC support or
something.

What version r u trying to use, V1 or V2?
Is it the US version, right?
What way are you connecting, Dial-Up or BBA?

Are you trying to access the official servers or the "other" server? (what do
you mean by that?)

My guess is that it's down to either you using your codebreaker codes, or (more
likely) the fact that the battery went and you lost the serial numbers from your
DC. The serial number etc. would probably have been time stamped (which would
match with data on the server) and thus you have lost access to the server/s.
To regain access the codes need to be erase from the servers.

im hyped about this one as well..gives ya that same ole feeling ya had
the first time you went online with your dc.ive pretty much skipped
all the other systems since dc with the exception of the ps2..which
was quickly sold.

im a bit of an internet device junkie,so this has some appeal to
me.the gaming aspect of it is more secondary.

I have also seen AJAX tools that will create Word docs., stream music (Locker) among other cool things. The DS browser (to be released in Japan)  will take screenshots so I assume this one will too. Pretty cool.

I was trying to view some pages at Gamespot but my browser kept coming up with

I'm using Dreamkey 3. Does anyone know what this message means? Is it related to

Nintendo Wii will come with Opera browser
By Derek Sooman, TechSpot.com
Published: May 10, 2006, 5:05 PM EST

Nintendo's next-generation games console Wii (formerly known as
"Revolution") will come with the Opera web browser, it has been
revealed. This will give users of the Wii the ability to surf the Net,
and they will be able to navigate sites via the new Wii remote controller.

"For our Wii console launch in 2006, we required a browser that was
fast and secure, with support for the latest standards, including
AJAX," said Genyo Takeda, senior managing director and general manager
of Nintendo's Integrated Research & Development Division.
Wii is expected to hit the stores at the end of this year.

Well me too ;) . But I have to hurry and find a script that works ,
before i expand the website and have to edit several pages :(

So I searched a bit and found some scripts that do the same as the
script i posted in the first mail .

I would be glad if some of you could test the scripts with your
Dreamcast Browser "Best with eighter DK3 - PW3 DPP or XDP"

http://bustaremember.bu.funpic.de/javascript/last-updated-01.html
http://bustaremember.bu.funpic.de/javascript/last-updated-02.html
http://bustaremember.bu.funpic.de/javascript/last-updated-03.html
http://bustaremember.bu.funpic.de/javascript/last-updated-04.html
http://bustaremember.bu.funpic.de/javascript/last-updated-05.html

Please browse to those links and report if any of the scripts report
the right Date/Time/Yeahr . "05/10/2006"

Also I was playing around with a javascript snippet i found on a
Official Dreamcast Game Site "I think f355 Passione rossa"

It only displays given content if the Useragent or platform given in
the script is detected .

<EXAMPLE CODE>
---------------------------------------------
<script language="JavaScript">
<!--
   DC=(navigator.platform.indexOf('Dreamcast')!=-1);
   if(DC){
     doc='<embed type=application/x-dreamcast-lcdticker text="Dreamcast
Javascript Test" hidden=true loop=true>';
     document.write(doc)
   }
//-->
</script>
----------------------------------------------
Works also with Useragent... eg dreamkey/2 - dreampassport/3
" (navigator.Useragent.indexOf('Dreamkey/2')!=-1); "

I created 2 html pages to test the script , it worked on my local
computer , but not sure if it works on dc . So i would be glad if
someone could try the script too ;)

On the first link "if-dreamcast-01.html" only peopel browisng with a
dreamcast should see the message on there vmu screen . Where on the
second link only peopel on windows machines should see it .

http://bustaremember.bu.funpic.de/javascript/if-dreamcast-01.html
http://bustaremember.bu.funpic.de/javascript/if-dreamcast-02.html

I want to use this script to hide the vmu scoller for
windows/linux/mac users browsing to the site ."Firefox displays a
plugin message and the design is screwed "

PS: www.dcarchiv.6x.to will be the site i'll implent this scripts

Hi,

I was having problems saying "yes" or "no" to the new yah00! beta mail option
(am using Dreamkey 3) I was forced to choose when logging in right now. Luckily
after getting a little mad and swearing I was able to sidestep it!

I simply entered "http://mail.yah00.co.uk" into the URL bar and woohoo :)
(replace 00's with oo)

If you are having the same problem then try it, replacing the .co.uk with the
appropriate yah00 domain (eg. ".com", ".it" etc.,)

Do you remember what it is called, the brand name, the model number,
the company that makes it...? Any information would be useful.

Dreamcast was way ahead of its time. Sega had the
prototype for ps2 and Xbox, Sega Net Live online
Broadband game play, Dream Eye, for live Video
Communication, and Mouse Keyboard for the best in firs
person shooter control and targeting (PC quality)
I love my classic Dreamcast, True 640x480P VGA mode
for the ultimate in HD visuals.
Miss DC me too.

Do not fear, fellow Sega fans are here!

Well, I am atleast :)

The files are on BlueSwirls site:

http://blueswirl.shorturl.com

There should be a link to his site on the links/bookmarks page of this group.
It's certainly listed on one of my other groups, SegArchives :)

Once on his site click on the VMU files link and you'll find tonnes of DC files
for downloading :)

For the US version check the "Skies Of Arcadia (US)" folder for:

S.ARCADIAD01
S.ARCADIAD02
S.ARCADIAD03

and if you own a European version check the "Skies Of Arcadia" folder for:

ARCADIA_ED01
ARCADIA_ED02
ARCADIA_ED03

I'm in Spain too, getting online again is easy, but you won't be able
to get those extras for Skies of Arcadia, since the website was taken
down years ago :( (I tried it a week ago and it didn't work). The
online working games are Quake III Arena, Phantasy Star Online and
maybe a couple more.

To get online with your Dreamcast using your 56k dial-up ISP you can
order a DreamKey 3.1 GD from Sega of Europe. They will ship it for
free. It includes a menu to cofigure the Dreamcast so that it uses
your ISP instead of trying to connect to DreamArena. If you use ADSL
it includes information on how to connect using Telefonica Net which
costs the same as a local call. If you need for information just ask
;)

Hey guys,

Even though this may sound real newbish... nostalgia hit me and I
brought my DC out of the closet along with one of the best RPGs ever
made, Skies of Arcadia.

Now I have a problem with perfectionism and always wanting to finish
everything 100%, thing is this game requires to connect to the SoA
webpage to download three extra addons for game, could anyone please
help me with that?

At the moment I'm trying to find DreamKey since it looks for its
settings... Any help would be appreciated.
