Most of it goes into the "Bulk Folder", so I just delete it along with all the

Hi folks,

I know this group is real quiet right now, apart from the spam :(

Just deleted the latest lot of spam from the message archive and had a look at
the bookmarks/links page which had some spam too. Those links have now been
deleted, as this group is for people of any age and Dreamcast/videogame related
stuff only.

Only works in the ORIGINAL DP3 disk using x-avefront commands. Will
not work in game disks either. Isn't in Premier.

Will this work for in-game browsers as well?

also, you can find a guide in Conexao Dreamcast Forum:(in portuguese)

http://conexao.4.forumer.com

with the guide, you can make your chab id yourself. you can find there
some tips too, then your chab/isao ids will not be deleted (but, as
karl said, you will need to log in with isao one time a month, at least)

you can find this guide on the Isao Guide Page too (made by my friend
Chris). here is the link:

Mainly because I spend all my money on videogames consoles (and my Amiga) and it
beats spending extra cash on a PC, anti-spyware software, anti-virus software
and anything else required to keep it in running order.

I doubt I'll need to buy a PC once I get a CD-writer hooked up to my amiga,
aswell as getting it hooked up to the net (mainly to download files from
aminet).

I would like to hear why others still use their DC for internet access.

I use it when out of town, and as a backup. The DC served me well as a
primary internet device for over three years.

Exactly. This will no doubt be the #1 answer. The Dreamcast is a very good tool
to pave the
way to understanding a PC and though it has limitations it takes more
inteligence to get what
you want from the WWW. So it is not a bad thing to have just the Dreamcast as
your only
means to the internet it is harder than cruising the web on a PC sure, but some
of the
challenges presented are more rewarding than just hitting "SEND".

Funny enough, this is my 1st post on the DCBG, even thought I follow this
list for a while now ...

About ISAO, they deleted ISAO accounts with fake addresses back in 2002.
They also changed the
policy regarding "abandonated" accounts. As you who have ISAO accounts know
they send global
messages to all of their users and some (most of them) didn't check the mail
accounts as mostly ISAO
accounts were used for Dreamcast online gamming or other paid services. So
most people would not
really use the mail accounts. Due to this ISAO set new rules regarding full
mailboxes. If you get your
mailbox full your account is locked until you empty the inbox. You have a
month to do so. If you don't the
account is deleted. And I believe this is how most of the ISAO accounts used
by people outside Japan went
bye bye... I remember they warned about this in several mails, but since
most users outside Japan can't read
the messages it went blank and people lost accounts this way ...

Best regards...
Leonard

(I'm a ex JPDC PSO Player so I had to research a bit about ISAO stuff when I
started to play it)

Depends on who made it. I think
one of the members here has
figured out a way to make chab
ID's permenant.

The main thing is make sure to
log in at least once a month

I know some people who have Chab
accounts going back almost 4 years.
A lot of accounts were deleted
due to inactivity.

Try http://coolwaters1977.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/DCzipper.html

I only tried it once at a zipped file, But it did open it.

Only problem was that the DC could only read 3 out

the 12 files inside.

Probably depends on your browser you use

or something like that)
