My Dream Passport 3 browser (I think Dreamkey does i
t too) stops loading web pages part way.

instead of displaying everything on the page, someti
mes only half of it gets loaded and forces me to rel
oad.
A great example is GameFAQs. there are a lot of guid
es there to look at for help. While the guide is loa
ding, the info at the bottom of the screen show how
much is done loading (%). A lot o times it will go a
s high as 85% complete, then h browser just suddenly
  stop loading.

I've tried that A+X over RELOAD thing , but it de do
  anything to  help clear this problem.

Another example is the GameFAQs message boards. Read
ing the messages and replying is what it's all about
  for me. How would you like to read deep into a para
graph that was on a very interesting topic, then the
  last sentence you're reading was suddenly cut off--
? You have to reload the whole page again and again
until you get lucky and it loads all 100% of it.

  This happens all over the internet. Any web pag may
  not load completely. Google sometimes doen:t load u
p the search bar (where you enter wat needs to be lo
oked up). There sometimes arerandom incomplete words
, symbols, and numbers istead of the rest of what su
pposed to be loaded. Looks like what you call ~javav
ascript~....<somethingblahblah12312#"#(%!" whatever.

Maybe something needs to be changed in the Options m
enus, but I don:t know what they all do. What exactl
y IS javascript and cookies? Everything else in the
options menus does absolutely nothing when changed.

Te guide at the Dreamcastbrowsers site only says wha
t they are, but not what they do. I needfull decript
ions of each option and what i should do with them.

I:m not familiar with anything computer/internet rel
ated.
So, I really appreciate any help from anyone.

Actually  the group is listed on quite a few Japanese
web sites. I'm surprised there's not more spam. Also
there's a DCBG (Yahoo Japan) which never gets used
but links back here. Maybe in Japan the spam isn't as bad.

My apologies... The download links were incorrect, but have been
fixed.  Thanks karl for the kind words.  Yes, this release has some
rather significant updates over the 2nd release and many updates from
the 1st release.  One thing that Dreamcast gamers may appreciate is
an archive of all the game codes and guides for the Dreamcast as well
as a large collection of saves.  Many new tools have been added and
I've rewritten several of them to work on the Dreamcast, (some tools

I just wanted to let everyone know that the 3rd release of XDP is ready
for download.  If anyone is not familiar with it, it is a fully
translated Dream Passport 3.15, (which is more complete than 3.16 and
has more features than 3.0 such as BbA support).

I know that in times past, custom browsers were frowned upon here and
if that is still the case, please forgive my indiscretion and delete my
post.  I mean no disrespect to insidious plots or anyone else.

If I may talk about it, I am willing to take any questions and address
any issues including recent rumors.

I cannot get Gmail to work on the following
DC browsers...DreamKey 3.0, DreamPassport
3.0, 3.16 (Crazy Taxi), 3.2 (Premier). It
only works on Planetweb 2.62 and PW 3.0 (the
former browsers return a SSL error). It's on
a https address, so unless there's a
workaround or anyone has any ideas, it looks
like it's only supported by Planetweb.

Kinda surprising, I thought Premier would at
least support https, but I guess not.

By the way the originals (GD-ROM) I tested
were DreamKey, and the PW's. The other three
were CD's, which most here use anyway. Dunno
if that makes any difference though.

Ok the Invite is yust out

One thing about the pop3 and smpt servers of gmail

you can find the settings only in the help section

and they are high secure servers , and will most likely

not work on dreamcast :/ they use double authentication

and ssl <-? ssh ? :P

Oh and another thing is , that you need to ENABLE pop

email in the gmail options menu under "pop and forwarding"

Or the servers reject you if you want to recieve or send mails

Although it should be pointed out if you
still have a ISAO email its perfect for all
DC browsers. You can check/send using the
ISAO servers. I think we covered this about
a month ago, but in case you forgot...

to send....

smtp.xx.isao.net or
smtp.xx.dricas.com

xx=domain, such as ic, hestia, etc.

to retrieve just use the domain
(ic.isao.net, for example) and of course you
need your username/password.

Actually thats a new feature from
Gmail so it can be accessed
anywhere, so I wouldn't worry.

You will more than likely need the
PSO v2 DreamKey it has full SSL
support.

Well Gmail is primarily web based
(like Yahoo), For POP3 you might
fare better with your isp email.
This way you can send/recieve with
POP3 and SMTP.

Aw man...

I just found out that you won't be able to check mail without going to
the site with a Dreamcast. I was hoping that i could just go to mail
as soon as I am online with the DC browser.

I fear that that gmail site will stop working for Dreamcast browsers
altogether.Bad for me, cause I have no computer.

I can't even get to the site with DP. That SSL thing keeps poping up
(I don't know how to turn that off). What the heck is that thing?

When I try going to the site with DreamKey (1.0 - from the games) I
always get an error message sayinig that the URL is wrong or somthing.

With Planetweb, I cannot change the settings. :(

This sucks.

In the Email settings of the DC browsers, you can fit up to 11
characters for the Username. gmail needs your username to be at least
6 characters long, PLUS you have to put @gmail.com after it,
SOOOOo...you'll need 12 spaces altogether. That will not work at all.

:(

I don't recall seeing a SMTP setting, only POP3 for Gmail. I have tested the
HTML version on Planetweb and it worked fine (checking, and sending from the
Gmail site)

I assume DreamKey and Passport will work as well, but to date, haven't
tested it.

I might be wrong on the SMTP but did look in the options and saw nothing
about it.

Plots, 'Blade and Spued all seem to have moved on to other projects
unfortunately. I try to check in from time to time. Andrew seems to be the

Yup.

You can always ask someone here in the UK to pass it on if you send it to
them

Keep in mind its a PAL disk you'll need a boot cd.
DreamKey 3 is well worth the effort to obtain.

You have to enter username@... as your login name in the
Dreamcast email settings, so any username over 6 characters won't fit
at all.

If you know of a way to change usernames, then let me know.
I'd hate to waste a gmail account (even thought there are thousands of
invites available). i'll be sure to send my invites to that isnoop
site when they come, so many more people can use the service.

I'm very sorry. But if you could, could you send me another invite to
the address i'm using now. The ISP I changed to also gave me the same
problem (the username being too long), so I use gmail as my primary
email account.

I want to get things set up right.
