Your best hope of chat is IRC. In fact
the one thing PW does have is a very
good IRC client.

The Yahoo java chat is very buggy.

I got one of those too. Very annoying.
And it does appear to be a spam filter
set up by Paulo Hollanda. If it
continues let me know and I'll take
appropiate action.

Well keep hold of it...Its quite rare and a collectors item, thats why it sells for so much...Not that its worth it, lol.

I have Planetweb v3.0 and i can login to Yahoo fine. Its definitely your Cookies. If you switch between different versions of Planetweb it does tend to mess up your options i've noticed so if you've used PW2 its probably that thats disabled cookies for PW3...

Yeah but it doesnt work very well even when you have got it working :p If you look in the Links section of this site there are a few links to Java Applets and Chats that work, not many thou. Just do a search on Google for Java Chats and test a few out. Yahoos Java Chat Client works very well on Planetweb v3.0.

Sorry, i meant IM, not PM...i had been thinking about some "private
messages" that i sent in some forums i frequent when i wrote that. X-D
NEway...yes i feel very, very screwed over with the $40 price tag, i
just consider it another lesson learned though...

I think i already tried turning on the cookie option, and it did'nt

I'll try the cookie option thing again...i'll post results later.

well all i know is i only receive the message when i post something,
i thought i was the only one but it seems one of the members has a
filtered mail and every time you post him something (when you post it
to the whole group) you receive a (fake?) antispam agent asking for
confirm, i think this member needs to be warned or banned if there is
no other solution cause its getting extremely annoying

Yahoo Java Chat works fine thou if thata what yor after. You need to turn Java on throu the Options Menu too if it isnt already turned on. Hi, i'm Mike...100% DC noob. ;)
I've got me a problem and i hope someone here can help me.

My PC died last April and we don't have enough cash to get a new one,
so i bought a DC for internet access shortly thereafter. I got the
standard Planetweb-web Browser 2.0 and that's fine for getting around
in most places. I had heard that Planetweb 3.0 was the best invention
since sliced bread...it said you could Private Message, chat, and do
all kinds of other crap that you can't with 2.0. So i shelled out $40
or so for a new copy off of Ebay. Now i can't even get through to my
Yahoo account on the thing because it says it's "rejecting cookies"
of some sort. :( I really want to PM some friends, so can anyone
please tell me if there is any way to get through to Yahoo on my
3.0...or at least somewhere i can chat or something ???

Thanks for your help,
-(Mike)-

Well that is a general reccomendation.

With new discoveries or changes (ie chab)
it does become murky at best. And "user
feedback" can go a long way to making a
decision. I now say DK3 for the new user
but if someone had asked previously no doubt
I would have gone with Passport.

If you can't get a DK3 get a PW (you'll
need it) and a Chu Chu Rocket disk so you
can access Dreamkey v1.

The most used overall is PW 2.6 but that is
somewhere near the bottom of my list. If PW
is your thing, try to get a 3.0 off eBay.

Yeah, Dreamkey v3.0 does support Mpegs etc. Basically
its just a translated DreamPassport 3 with a few other
changes here and there...its made by Access the same
as the DreamPassports are.

IMO it would be dreampassport 3.0 but the obvious
downside is that its in japanese. So perhaps you could
go with dreamkey 3.0 as cyber_shinbi recommended.

Im not sure about dreamkey, but dreampassport can
play mpeg movies. But has low compatibility.

Tough one...There are a few good browsers available
for DC, Dreamkey v3.0, DreamPassport v3.0 and
DreamPassport Premier. Seein as its not possible to
get Ch@b Id's anymore to use with DreamPassport 3 and
DPP i think personally i'd have to go for Dreamkey
v3.0, its the best for overall surfing. Its faster,
has a nicer display and seems to handle Flash and more
memory intensive web pages than any of the other DC
Browsers and its in Full English. It doesnt support
the BBA thou but seein as you dont have one anyway
that dont matter. The only DC Browsers i know that
support the BBA are Broadband Passport(A BBA Enabled
DP2), DreamPassport v3.16(An Ingame Browser),
DreamPassport Premier and Planetweb 3.
