Yes it will play and work fine over there, all you
need is a boot disc...If you get a PreOwned copy make
sure it comes with the Serial Code and just Email Sega
Europe at, info@... and ask them to reset the
codes off the Server and you should be able to
register your DC with those codes within about
12hours..Yes it will go Online, all you need is an
ISP...PSOv2 PAL Version actually comes with a Full
Seperate Dreamkey v3.0 to set up your own ISP, the
Ingame Browser on Pal PSOv2 is also Dreamkey
v3.0...PAL PSOv1 will work fine also... The BBA was
never released in Europe but the PAL Versions of games
that were made with BBA Support also Support the BBA,
i'm pretty certain they do.

The only other PAL Game that is still fully Online
that you dont have(As Such...) is Quake3 Arena...It
still Scans Servers and there are around a 100 Euro/UK
Servers still up, plus the Private Servers from around
the World.

Worms World Party still worked fine here too when i
last checked, so does F355 Challenge and StarLancer,
but so do yours i imagine(Other than Worms World
Part).

Very Good Work. Just a few corrections for you+
1. Yes it is possible to buy and use a used copy of
PAL PSO, just make sure it comes with the serial codes
and when you recieve it email Sega Europe at,
info@... with the codes, explain you got a
2nd Hand Copy of the game and they will reset them off
the Server for you and you'll be able to register
those codes to your DC within about 12Hours...

2. Using Planetweb v1 to Flash your DC Internal Memory
does not affect VMU Saves in anyway what so ever... I
have done it many, many times...Planetweb v1 is
definitely the best for performing a full Flash on
your DC's Internal Memory thou...

3. If in Japan, you dont need to sign up to ISAO Isp
to be able to buy the Hunters Licence...You can
Register through the game itself for a Free Id to get
the Hunters Licence if you dont use ISAO Isp but
obviously you cant Register throug the Game outside of
Japan so thats why the Ch@bsign Method was used...ISAO
run Online Game Servers for all the consoles in Japan
as well as being an ISP.

Also as a side note, if you have a Ch@b/Isao Id from
before Feb 2003 you can still sign up and play the Jap
Version...
Also, any Id's obtained through the Online Games like
PSO and not obtained by signing up to Isao Isp can
still be used for Ch@b, but obviously this will only
apply to ppl in Japan afaik...Maybe one day i will
find an Online Game that will let me sign up and get
Isao Id's for free ;)

European Ebay is your best bet, find loads on there
and PSOv1 sells very cheaply now... They have a copy
in one of my local game shops so its not that hard to
find at all if your willing to look.

Up to Feb '03 ISAO offered what was
known as "Kids Course" which allowed
kids under the age of 18 ten hours of
free access a month. It came with an
ISAO ID for gaming (and chab) so
those accounts never deleted. Now the
"Kids Course" is still offered, but
at a reduced rate. Which means you
must sign up for a paid ISAO account.

ISAO (obviously) didn't track or
worry about chab accounts, since the
"Kids Course" was renewable, from
month to month. Now, since it's all
pay, those accounts get deleted off
the server if they don't match up
with new paid accounts.

Hope that clears it up for you.

Basically, the only way you can play Jap PSO is by
obtaining a Dricas/Isao Id. In the old days(Before Feb
2003) ppl used to use a program called Ch@bsign to
create the Id's, then they could use that Id to
purchase their Hunters License on Jap PSO. If you try
to create a Dricas/Isao Id now sadly Isao delete it
within about 2 days :(

Anyway, why do ppl want to play Jap PSO anyway? That
baffles me :/ Euro PSO is still up and thats in Full
English and Free to play, no Hunters License has ever
been needed in Europe. Mainly the ppl who wanted to
sign up and play Jap PSO where from when it hadnt been
released in the US and Europe...
And just to add you also need a Dricas/Isao Id to
obtain a Ch@b Account.

I'm assuming your on about DC PSO V1? Or DC PSO V2?

V2 was much more intelligent, sadly, so you could on
ly pick up certain items from a downloadable offline
quest once, unless you passed the item on to a diff
chara with the help of online mates.
Perhaps the same was true of the servers being able
to detect your location and if you were outsiode of
Japan playing Jap PSO then it would kick you off?

The (60Hz) DC PSO servers are still currently up and
running in Europe and Japan only, but the US ones w
ere closed down in Sept. 2003.
The remaining SegaNet servers (including Bomberman O
nline?) were closed down June/July 2003.

I hope that helps you.

Can Some one tell me why in simple detail why you can't play Jap PSO
online. I'm a little lost when it comes to details can someone in
simple words explain how you could play online before feb 2002 and
why you can't now. I thought I had a good written explanation but
after reading it, makes no sense and need one for my website...

it is not about who it bothers, it is that it is simply illegal...

by way of example, life-saving drugs are not easy to come by either, especially
in countries like Brazil, but, it would stilll be illegal for the group to
supply them or tell people where to illegally buy them... those who wish things
were different in either case should lobby congress or something... but, as it
stands now, unlicensed supply of copyrighted software is illegal and though many
members of this group possess such software, it is still a logical policy to not
make the group itself an accomplice of the illegal activity...

and i might add that those who choose to break the law usually at least do so a
bit more discreetly than posting warez requests in a public yahoo group with
some 500 members and who knows how many more non-member readers and users...

it doesnt bother me neither but this group is not supposed to be made
to talk about this, thats why psd browser group exists isnt it? plus
i think if we start talking freely about warez browsers we will soon
see people talking about all other warez stuffs. anyway i dont make
any rule i just pointed out if you want to respect the rules and dont
want to have to answer this kind of question again you should just
ignore them, just my opinion

To be honest, it doesnt bother me ppl asking for
Browser downloads. As you know, DC Browsers arent
exactly the easiest things to come by these days
especially in countries like Brazil. I know it does
seem to bother some so thats why i said that. I dont
consider askin for Browser Downloads to be in the same
league as asking for Game Downloads and
stuff....Whether its for moralistic reasons or the
threat of this Group being turned into some sort of
warez group or whatever i can understand and respect
that.

Basically, you cant.
If you have one that was created before Feb 2003 you
are fine but since after that its just not possible to
create them anymore, ISAO Delete them if you dont sign
up to one of their ISP Packages...And they are for
Japanese Users only.

Unless you use a shared PC/DC you should never have
someone elses username when doing anything on/at Yah
oo! Even if you log in and switch off your DC (and P
C?) you can't get back in (or on as anyone else) wit

If that really happened report it to Yahoo imed

Don't they test these things before altering page te

Just go into Options then Preferences in your Yahoo!
Mail. Change a few of the Options and then save the
Settings. Next time you go into your Yahoo! Account it
will be the Framed Version...
I cant guarantee this thou, this is just what happened
to me when i altered my Preferences, but its worth a
try.
