Hi,
Thanks for your response.
OK, I'll try to be more clear about what I'm trying to do. I have
emailed VMU files such as PASSPORT.P** and PASSPORT.V** from my
Dreamcast to my PC. When I recieve them on my PC, the attachment is
a PASSPORT.P** or whichever pertains to it. Now, if I try emailing
that same exact file back to my DC, the DC no longer recognizes it.
It just sees it as a PASSPORT.X** file.
This has also happened when a friend emails me a video and I check my
email with my PC before I check it with my DC, and the PC downloads
the mail from the server, but I can only watch the video with my DC.
So, I try to forward it back to my DC, but it no longer recognizes
the file.
If I knew how to email files from my PC to my DC so that my DC would
recognize them the way I intended, it would be very useful for
several things.
1. I could email saves to my PC for storage and later emial them back
to my DC. (Granted, I have the Nexus card and I know there are other
alternatives, but that is beside the point).
2. I wouldn't have to leave a copy of my emails on the server just in
case a friend has sent me a video.
3. I could use files found laying around here on DCBG and other sites
by saving them to my PC, then emailing them to my DC. Ex:
PASSPORT.Sds, DualSurf.bar, DualSurf.set, and so on and so on, which
can't be downloaded by the DC, but must be used with the DC.
Thank you for your time. I know this is a long message.
Best Regards,
Kevin
