all the vmu

well, tough times since dreamserv lost all dcbg's wo
rk, isn't it?
but, i had nothing to do with that...
and it seems we all have to do without since then...
maybe someday, someone will make new vmu-based versi
ons and they will distribute them...
> And it was working perfectly...
> I only was demonstrating it cos it was
> very usefull to me now the blue bars are

you were not "demonstrating it", you were calling it
the "dreamkey surfer" and linking to the demos in m
y webspace...
i did not make it to be web-based... whether you ca
me across the errors or not, they are a reality...
we did not make them vmu-based to amuse ourselves or
show off our scripting prowess... we had very good
reasons...
and when people link to my web-demos, with my name o
n them, that is taking something that i designed to
be error-free and making public a flawed version of
it, with my name still on them, in the url... the d
emos were meant to be just demos... and it was alwa
ys clearly stated that they were for demo purposes o
nly...
yet people continue to link to the demos...
you just happened to be the lucky guy to make me dec
ide i had had enough...
if you want to run a web-based version, be my guest.
.. on your host... without my name in the url or a
nywhere at all...
> My dreamkey.h00 is not working
> now!
i have no idea what a .H file has to do with anythin
g, since the file i released was named "DKSurfer.i_p
" or something close to that, but, as i recall, i al
so released the bars at the same time, as downloadab
le files... not sure, i would have to see the origi
nal scripts, which i no longer have...
i will see what i can do about releasing the scrpts,
but, considering everyone had plenty of time to cop
y them, (they were released something like a year an
d a half ago, at least) i never thought i would have
to release them, so, don't hold your breath...
for that matter, as many people that have copied the
m to make their own web-based versions, there should
be plenty of places to get the scripts or just link
to their web-based version...
bottom line is many of us used web-based surfers for
a very long time and got tired of the problems inhe
rent in them... so, we figured out a way around the
probems, and that was to make them vmu-based...
i cannot help but wonder why people think we went to
all that trouble for no reason, if they worked just
as well web-based...
and i do not like the idea of people using something
with my name associated with it (or the group's nam
e) that is NOT what we intended...
and i like it less every time i see someone linking
to our demos and calling it the real thing...
