I now have a Tungten T3, Have tried get in and have actatived the
Levation spell. I have tried to back in and forward, also using the two
top buttons and bottom buttons with the forward button but nothing
seems to work. What am I doing wrong?
I thought I had pressed the wall but apparently not because that did it.
Thank you for giving me back my game.

As has been mentioned there are two key things to making him
show up:
1) You have to have pushed on the wall in the dungeon and gotten
the message that you need more strength to move it. If you haven't done
this Max will never show up. (For example, did you do it and
then restore an earlier game where you were closer to the city thinking
it might save time? If so, he'll never show up unless you go push the
wall again.)
2) You have to visit his tent on a weekend. This is not as hard
as it seems, unless you are trying for a shortest time through. Isn't
there a rest command that lets time pass? Just go to his tent and click
to see if he is in. If not, just rest there. And then try again. You
can check the day and hour each time after resting to make sure time is
passing. Repeat rest, check, rest, check. He will show up eventually.
I was one of the original playtesters who kept track of all the
issues. As far as I know there should be no problem with playing all
the way through on a Tungsten T5.
A
couple of weeks ago I was having trouble finding Max in. I kept
getting a message from Max's tent saying he was out and come back
next week. I asked you guys about it and you said just keep checking
back in and he will eventually show up.
Well it's been two weeks real time and over a month DBII time and
still no Max and I am at my wits end! How much time must I waste
wandering around waiting for this guy to show up?
I even started the game over from scratch, built a really great team
which is really strong, then hit this point and... nothing.
I hate being stuck and am seriously beginning to wonder if there is a
glitch of some kind which is keeping me from moving forward. I'm
playing with a Palm Tungsten T5. Does anyone know if there are
problems with DBII on this machine? I played Demelza all the way
through with no problems.
So, should I keep wandering around, hoping the guy will show up
someday, or should I delete DBII from my palm and reinstall, or just
give up. Or can I live without the soli key, or is there just some
little cheat which could get me past this point and let me continue
playing.
First of all
have you hit the wall where you get the clue that you need someone really
strong to break the wall. Only after that clue will the strongman turn up and
then only at weekends.

Interesting.... normally I had a requirement that all levels had to be visited for some reason or another but I didn't know this level could be skipped! I will get back to you with an answer on this one shortly...

I've already finished the Demelza adventure including the easter egg level, but I'm not going back and trying to get into the middle of the Chamber of Horrors (which I neglected the first time around).
I tried the walkthrough but I still can't seem to get there because many of the doors listed to get to the middle of Chamber of Horrors were locked and I couldn't find a way to get past them.
So, for simplicity sake, I'm in front (36,5 Chamber of Dismay) of the Old Rusty Hinged door. And remember I've finished the levels objective already by getting the Dragon Bane half, but I just want to get to the middle section of the Chamber of Horrors.
Thanks.

Due to various (read: thousands) disasters in Windows Mobile 5, I have forced HP
to replace my hx2490 with a 2410. Same specs, but OS 2003 SE.
Sudden Death has not occurred since!
I suggest to the developers to concentrate on this fact, as it is likely an
issue with WM5... unless anyone has encountered it on a previous OS?

You can easily turn the candle off if it is an item on one of your party members by unchecking it. However I guess you have a Troglodyte in your party & he will always give you a permanent candle. You will need to drop him off at an Inn.

I'm at the part of the game where you can't unlock the door unless you are in total darkness, the only trouble is I have a candle icon lit, and I have had this candle on for a long time, and I don't know how to turn it off.
Is there any way to turn it off, or to get past the gate? If not I'm totally stuck.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Am I doing something wrong or do I have to wander
some more before Max finally shows up?
I need Stongman Max to join my party so I can get the soli key, but
every time I go to his tent I get a sign which says "the strongman
exhibit is not here this week."
I have spent two weeks (DBII) time wandering around the wilderness
simply to get the clock to move and still no strongman.
Am I doing something wrong or do I have to wander some more before Max
finally shows up?
Thanks in advance for your help.
