You will notice in the files download section of the forum that there is now a walk thru for Demelza. This should help through all the stages.

I can't figure out how to unlock the gate at 26,22 in Catacomb Ruins. I pushed the button at 26,24....what does that button do?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Sorry, no news. Our PPC developer has been on vacation and said he
should be able to look at it in January. I'll check back with him
first week of January.

I can't figure out how to unlock the gate at 26,22 in Catacomb Ruins.
I pushed the button at 26,24....what does that button do?
Thanks in advance for the help!
Any news on the Sudden Death bug in the PPC version of DB2?
I am still able to make progress in the game, thanks to frequent
saves. I don't have a save position where I can repeat this, but I
rencently fought a battle against a hydra, a couple of death knights,
and a couple of corrupt mages. Caleb, Unger, Heric, and Mordor all
fell in turn to sudden death, leaving lonely old Poe and The Iqtar to
finish the battle.
Curious,
Dale
I am running a Dell Axim x50v. At the time I saw these errors I was
running Wm5. Since then I have upgraded to PPC2003se, but have not
played the game, so I can't say the error will still occur.

I've been corresponding directly with Jason on this, but I'll post
here as well for completeness. I'm using an HP IPAQ HX2495, running
Windows CE 5.0, and DB2 version PPC 1.0.5. In case anyone doesn't
know, for the IPAQ models the fourth digit represents whether the
product was sold directly by HP (0) or by a third party vendor (5).
So an HX2490 and an HX2495 are the exact same unit, but sold via
different sales channels.

MythoLogical Software announces WizardWorld 1.0.0 for the Tapwave Zodiac.
WizardWorld is a 3D action/strategy game that places you in an
illusory realm controlled by a master wizard. In a test of skill and
wits, your goal is to manoever your "hull" to a vantage point where
you can see the dragon's thrown and dispell his illusionary dragon to
advance to the next level in a series of progressively more
challenging tests.
Along the way, you'll be hunted by traps and other summoned illusions,
so you'll want to take advantage of hiding places on the terrain and
special tokens that you can store in your inventory to invoke when you
get into a tight spot.
I made it into the lair/palace/whatever (brass key, gate SW of NT)...
I go up against some Corrupt Mages who keep summoning creatures. I
finally wipe out the Mages and I'm on the last creature, and viola!
Caleb experiences sudden death.
Ok, I load my last saved game and go for it again.
This time, I encounter a Scorpion King who keeps summoning more
scorpions. Ok but this seems like a fun challenge.
BAM, I choose "fight" and Caleb dies. But this doesn't end there - for
the remaining rounds, regardless of whether I chose "Fight" or "Run,"
the next player in line dies. Again and again, until only Poe was
left, poor poisoned poe, and finally I manage to "Run" away. Now I
have a group of 5 DEAD players (by Running, Poe died too) wandering
like zombies through the dungeon with Iqtar trailing them like a
devoted puppy. After about 2 or 3 squares of movement, the game must
have woken up and thought "hey wait a second...!" and my game reverted
to a new starting game.
Here's a screeny, it is not the greatest quality, but I was on the
train and took the pic with my phone.
http://danspage.tallerworks.com/dragon_bane_ii_sudden_death.jpg
This was taken just prior to Poe getting killed with my final round
choice.
Well, it has come to a point that whenever I encounter an enemy, Caleb
immediately dies!
I simply cannot play anymore, unless they come out with a patch to fix
this bug.
I am using a Dell Axim X51v (WM5, ROM version A04).

Ok, this last time the death happened, I decided to get creative.
I loaded my saved game and went into the encounter again. This time,
once the first round was up and the Dragon Prince summoned his
elemental, I chose "Repeat" for my battle instruction, instead of
"Fight." The sudden death did NOT occur! Henceforth I was able to
continue choosing "Fight" and nobody died anymore.
Situation was as usual: Caleb was in slot 1, Iqtar in slot 6, and the
enemy had an elemental summoned.
I hope this info helps the debug process.

I should've added "MythoLogical" after my name on the previous posts.
I have reviewed the bug and the status when I left off was that we
needed more details about how to reproduce it (ie what are the
monsters, quantities, distances, and what is the exact sequence of
combat events leading up to the bug)
However, Gabe pointed out that we don't know if this bug has been
reproduced on the Palm (all of my testing is Palm only). Has anyone
seen this bug _for sure_ on the Palm (or Palm Emulator)?
In any case, we just forwarded the bug description to our PPC
developer today, in case it's a PPC-only bug, so maybe he will take a
look at it, but I can't guarantee anything. But it'd be helpful to
know if anyone on the Palm can say with certainty they have seen the
exact same symptom occur in similar circumstances described above.
We'll keep you posted if there is anything more. In the mean time, I
the only thing I can suggest is:
- See if swapping positions of the characters has any effect on the bug.
- If you are able to isolate the exact circumstances to reproduce the
bug better, please let us know. And if you do, you can try to avoid
those situations as much as possible. For example: load and save more
often until you get past the offending monsters. Try running from
those situations. And if you have to fight, try to avoid combat
scenarios that will lead to the bug (maybe a near foe, or defend or
some other action can reduce the chance it will occur)

This time in lower level of sewer after using the scaled key. I come
upon the Dragon Prince, he summons an elemental, next round I choose
"Fight" and Caleb is suddenly dead.
This is getting truly annoying. Since this is a fairly tough mob for
me at this point in the game, chances are there will be a summoning at
least once unless I can manage to kill the dragon prince right away.
Seems I will always encounter the same glitch, so I'm at an impass in
the game.
Any word on a patch?
No one here mentioned having sent a report to Mythological regarding
this sudden death issue. Maybe someone did but just didn't mention it
here. In any case, I went ahead and sent them a report at their
support e-mail address, along with the same save file that I earlier
uploaded to this forum. I'll keep you posted when I hear something
from them.

should be looking for the prison key but i have no clue where it is.
Appreciate any form of help.
Thanks!

Hi,
When you enter the grav lift to the student shops you automatically go to street level. At street level you have the choice of exiting or going to the student shops.
Next version (1.0.4.10?), I might just remove the choice and treat it like a regular tube way (teleport).
Originally the adventure was large like "Return of Kra'an" (MSRK), and called Grimflaed (ATGA) after the planet. Grimflaed was for characters circle 1- 15 with bonus levels for circle 17 & 27 characters (a circle is a character level). Programming Grimflaed is taking too long. Grimflaed has been broken up into two smaller adventures, Saexgryth (ATSA) and Beowilid: Saexgryth Pt 2 (ATBA). Saexgryth is for characters circle 1- 10 and Beowilid is for characters circle 10- 15 with bonus levels for circle 17 & 27 characters.
Thank you. I am glad you like the game.

Hi,
Originally, the demo version of "Beta Saexgryth" included only 4 color grayscale
graphics. The PPC is not designed for grayscale and crashed the PDA.
While we plan to release a grascale version of Saexgryth 1.0.4 for the Palm OS,
we have currently released the 256 color version.
We are told that the 256 color version runs fine on the PPC by our focus group.
We do not have any PPCs to test this on.
The first half of Saexgryth 1.0.4, until you defeat the Snap Dragon+ and
retrieve the RED GLO SOUTH PASS* (a key), is free. Go ahead and play it.
There is no reason to pay for the second half if you do not like the first
half.

Hi,
I tried running the saved game file in POSE and got the following:
"The creation date in the database header inside "DrgSaveMSRK" is zero.
The Emulator does not consider this to be a problem, and neither does the Palm
OS. However, some versions of HotSync will test for this condition and report
an error, so you may wish to fix the database before trying to install it on a
device."
Also, when I load saved game 1, the bottom half of the screen is okay. However,
for the top half, I get a picture of Heric and the following menu:
SELECT AN
INVENTORY
ITEM
When I load saved game 8, the bottom half of the screen is okay. However, for
the top half, I get a picture of Caleb and the following menu:
CALEB
KNIGHT
(STATISTICS)
(INVENTORY)
Both of these issues go away when you refresh the screen.
Except for those non-important issues, when I run it in POSE, I have no
glitches. I tried the first fight after the troll teleporter over and over for
an hour with no result. Then I played the game for 6 hours, stopping when I got
the Eye of Soli. I will be buying a new PDA for christmas, after I get it, I
can try the saved game on my old Palm m500.

I tried again with various sets of Lizard Summoners, and still can't
get it. If anyone can repro, it would really help to know exactly
what the configuration is (number, distance, type of each monster) and
the battle sequence.

As I said previously, this has happened to me multiple times against
several creatures. I do not have Wizard Wall. When the Summoner or
Scorpion King appears at 20-30', I typically cast near foe with
Caleb, and attack with the next 3 characters which all have bows.
Defend with the last one.

I also have this problem in the Princess Demelza adventure. I have
discovered that this happens only when I encounter a creature that
attacks from far away, like a Lizard Summoner or Scorpion King. Not
only will the 1st member of your party die, but so will the 2nd if
you don't kill the creature during that round.
I find it happens all over the adventure, not in any specific place.

Thanks William. So what about grimflaed, is that a sequel to Saexgryth you are working on? By the way I have started playing the new version. Noticed 1 little bug, when taking the lift to the dorms it says "down" but if you catch the lift back up again to ground level it still says "down". Maybe needs another local state controling going up. Otherwise great game so far!!
Simon.

Hi Simon,
Your license key for Saexgryth is still valid with the latest release. Do not pay for Saexgryth. Paying for Saexgryth will simply give you the license key again.
New players need to download the file once. After they play the first half for free (thus making sure it works with their hardware), they will then purchase a license key from ( www.palmgear.com ).
Your version 1.0.3 saved game will not work. If you upgrade to 1.0.4.8 you will get a "corrupt file" error and it will erase your saved game. Several of the items in 1.0.4.8 are different from version 1.0.3, especially I'FIELDs.
You have at least two options: A) continue playing your current game, and upgrade to 1.0.4.8 when you are finished and start over.
B) delete your current saved game and upgrade to 1.0.4.8, when you are done with the first half, use your license key.
When you upgrade, simply go to ( www.palmgear.com ) and download the .ZIP file. Your license key will work with the latest file without you having to pay again.
I did not upload the file to the Yahoo! Groups TMU-Saexgryth, since I am having problems with uploading files to Yahoo! Groups.
There seems to be little interest in Dragon Blossom, so I it will not be uploaded to ( www.palmgear.com ).

I downloaded the save game and it plays fine on the Palm version. I
went to the door at 2,24 and walked around a little while until I
encountered something. I fought for a couple rounds then ran and
didn't get the bug.
I also tried walking around some more and encountered about 5
different groups. Each time, I fought a few rounds and ran, but never
got the bug.
Finally, using a special debug version of the game, I could construct
scenarios with lizard summoners at various distances, with and without
an elemental (Wizard Wall) in the party. Each time, I played a few
rounds and gave up without encountering the bug.
Can anyone else help to reproduce this? It would help a lot if you
knew exactly what happened before it occurred so I can try to setup
that scenario. Did you have a WizardWall? Exactly what monsters were
you fighting (including quantity, and distances)? What attack
commands did you issue, and what attacks did the enemy do?
Thanks,
Jason
