I can't beat the dragon.

In my party I have skilled up The Knight, The Wizard, The Archer,
The Thief and Dwarf.

I don't have the Sorceror so don't have protection from fire. In
order to be able to afford the fire resistant armour, I need gold.

I can only afford it if I sell all my other gear.

I have already explored as much map from new Trelorn as I can, so
all monsters dead, ie; can't skill up the Sorcerer to new level for
fire resist spell.

Help! Is there some treasure or weapon I have overlooked?

If restart, or if you keep playing, you might want to equip your ASSASSIN with a
SHARD ROD (Note 1).  ASSASSINs have very high invoke attributes.  While slightly
less accurate than a FIRE-KIN (Note 2), an ASSASSIN can use the same invoker
weapons as the same circle (character level) FIRE-KIN.  The ASSASSIN's high
invoke attribute and invoke accuracy help balance it versus the WATER-KIN's
small spell casting abilities.

Keep entering new teleporters south of that message
until finally you

up to Sewer 1,
use the soli key and pick up the Eye of Soli. Take the

Hi Matthew,

The Fluckinger walkthrough is pretty clear, but I'm not sure where you
are stuck. I assume you got the Soli key. Have you made it down to
Sewer 2? Below are the excerpts from the walkthrough from the time you
get the Soli key to getting the Eye of Soli. Can you tell me what you
have done so far (got the gold key, are at the "If you don't succeed"
puzzle, etc), so I can tell where you are stuck?

Sewer 1
•       ... Grab the soli key.

•       The gate at (11,11) won't open until you have all three
buttons opposite it pressed at the same time. Pressing one button can
un-press others, so you have to push them in the right order. Push the
middle button, then the one on the right, then the one on the left to
unlock the gate. Go down to Sewer 2.

Sewer 2.
•       There is a room that appears to be full of pits in the south.
The "pits" are traps. You will take damage if you step on them. To
turn them off, press the button at (20,25). For now, walk through the
room without stepping on them, or cast levitation.

•       Press the button at (28,11) to remove the barrier at (1,21).
•       If you stand at (3,14) facing east, there is a locked gate on
your right with a chest behind it and an unlocked gate on your left.
When you go one step through the unlocked gate, a button appears at
(3,14). Press it to move the chest to the unlocked gate so you can get
the gold key. Use the gold key at (3,7).

•       At (13,3) is a message about "If at first you don't succeed."

So I'm wandering around the Centurian Forest after dispatching that
hack Ramatha.  I've re-forged the sword with Helix's help and spoken
with His Majesty.

Because I read the walkthrough, I know that I need to go up to the
statue and say "Kopos", at which point he joins my party and leads
me to the promised land.

But.... I can't figure out for the life of me how I would know to do
this *except* by cheating!  Did I miss some clue? 

Cheating is one thing; cheating and not knowing why I'm cheating is
another.  Please -- my intellectual integrity is on the line here! 
I need to know -- what am I missing???

Hi Greenie,

I has been years since I played "Return of Kra'an" (MSRK).  While I used the
walkthrough several times (Note 1), I did not need it for the Centurian Forest.
  If you search every mapsquare of MSRK, one of the magic mouths gives you a
cryptic clue.

Hi Matthew,

You need to use the Soli key to enter a special area on Sewer 1 where
the Eye of Soli can be found. Since I don't know exactly where or how
far you are, the best guide is Larry Fluckinger's walkthrough, which
can be found in the Files section of the group under Walkthrus.
