Hi cecarey1021 [original message -- and URL -- at end of post],
I do not work for Mythological Software.
You seem to be having trouble with the Building Index Number (BIN).
You are currently giving your shop a BIN of 43.
Dragon Blossom OSI adventure script ( http://tinyurl.com/3mp3j ) uses
the file mDB_text_game.txt containing:
44 TEXT_SHOPPE1 "AFTERBURN WEAPONS"
45 TEXT_SHOPPE2 "ARTHUR'S ARMOR"
46 TEXT_SHOPPE3 "ALCHEMIST BAZAAR"
47 TEXT_SHOPPE4 "VEX-PSI OUTPOST"
48 TEXT_SHOPPE5 "MERLIN'S TOWER"
49 TEXT_SHOPPE6 "DREAM MARKETPLACE"
50 TEXT_SHOPPE7 "DJINN EMBASSY"
For "Afterburn Weapons", the Text Message Number (TMN) is 44,
however, the BIN is 1. Looking at TMN 44, you can see the label is
TEXT_SHOPPE1. The number at the end of the label is the BIN.
Thus "Djinn Embassy" has a BIN of 7.
Most of Dragon Blossom OSI shops are located on the
mDB_interior_01.map file. Download it if you want to see how Dragon
Blossom OSI deals with shops.

There are also two stores which sell magic stuff one including (rarely) permanent potions in the town once you get trough the tower.

I have been playing DBII for many months now. I am
ready for the final battle with Kra'an. I have been reading some of
the posts here. I have seen reference to a magical items store. I only
get to play for small amounts of time. I don't remember seeing a magical
items store, or if I have, I have forgotten about it. Could someone
give me the location?
I am having trouble getting the shops to change names and
inventories. I am setting the building to a shop and changing the
shop mask, but it keeps defaulting to the armory at test field 043.
Building Shop 044 010 128
The inventory seems to change as long as there is only one store in
the town. When I add more than one store to the town all of the
stores share the same inventory and the same name as the armory
043. Any thoughts on this? The infomation is coming from the test
game file right?
I want to have five shops set up in the one town. I can live with
less, but would prefer not too.

Hi everyone,
OK, I've realized the last few months that I am not going to get to
revising the walkthrough for a long while, so I have posted what I have.
You can find the file in the Files section of the DragonBaneII group
under Walkthrus folder. It is a text file.
I will say that it is not polished - more notes I took while walking
through an older version of Demelza. It is complete in that I have
completed Demelza including the bonus encounter at the end. Simon (the
author) had made some of the corrections to what I referred to as
"typos" - others left alone for stylistic reasons. I have not had the
chance to playtest his revisions to see what he kept and what he didn't.
I would appreciate any feedback. I apologize for the delay. I will try
to revise the file as I get feedback and perhaps time to play a little
(anyone who has played this one realizes how big this adventure is)!
Cheers,
Chris Kim (Cysk)

This gets asked a lot.
The right answer is what the jester says when you give the wrong
answer: wheeeee (that's with 5 e's)
If you type 'wheeeee', then the jester says Right!
Think about the riddle (which is faster - snail or the turtle?) :)

Simon,
I am a registered user of the Princess Demelza adventure for Dragon
Bane II (with the email address of nkulka3@...). However, I do
not have the most current registered version of the adventure. Can
you please send me the latest version of it (to nkulka8@...)?
I tried to send you an email (to jacobss@...) but it did not
work for some reason.
Your help is very appreciated.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Nikhil Kulkarni
It means just what it says, that the version of the file is wrong, or in the
wrong format.
The format of the pdbs.cfg file can not be changed, and has to have a valid
version as the last item on the line specifying the file.
Something like this:
!WALL:Walls256Shade:Drg2Walls:MythoLogical Software:1.0
The "1.0" is the version, and must be correctly formatted. If you changed it,
you will need to change it to a properly formated "x.y" where x and y are
numbers. So, "1.0" is fine, as is "0.9" or "2.3" or 7.1" or whatever.

Hi Bob,
I do not work for Mythological Software.
I do not know enough about computers to help you with your 'bad
version' error.
Once you start compiling, you can just redo the .bmp files. For this
discussion you will need to download Dragon Blossom OSI:
Dragon Blossom OSI adventure script
http://tinyurl.com/3mp3j
If you look at
C:\Dragon Blossom OSI 1.0.3.6\Game (Object Code- Easy)\Documents-
Easy\Screen Shots-Easy\WallList-Easy
or wherever you unzipped the file on your hard drive, then open file
( walls.html ) without the parenthesis.
Wall #33 is made of a brush that looks like a drawer (actually
drawer1.bmp, drawer2.bmp, & drawer3.bmp). The brush is stacked 4
high, then a partial 5th. The partial is chopped off at the bottom
and flipped to form the top. This same brush is used for the drawers
in Wall #32, and the legs for wall #34 & #35. Parts of wall #34 are
chopped and use for wall #35. Wall #21 is used for Wall #31, #32,
#35 and #116. Wall #89 is used in wall #62. When turned off, Wall
#89 is replaced by Wall #21. If you have trouble with this example,
let me know. What I am trying to illustrate is when you just change
the .bmp files without understanding the brush and wall files,
unexpected things can happen. If you do just change the .bmp files,
be sure to check all the walls to make sure your changes did not have
unintended consequences.

Hi there!
I'm having trouble getting new adventures to compile, once i have made
changes to the wall tiles.
I get 'bad version' error.
also would like some comments on this: I was looking at redoing the graphics
for the game, by just editing the .bmp.
theoretically this should let me insert new graphics over the old ones
without having to mess around with the brush data and wall defintions?

Guys,
I posted a cheat for this game a while back on this site. I
originally only wanted to do that and nothing more, but now that I am
compiling my cheats for all the games so far into one site
http://www.palmcheaterguy.4t.com (unfinished!) I wanted to get this
one and see how it was doing... I never really expected the replies
I recieved! I am glad that I have help! :-) I will bookmark this

Hi Simon,
Actually, the "T.M.U. GUEST LODGE" deliberately appears on several
maps (Note 1). You can go to the "T.M.U. GUEST LODGE" if any of your
party is DEFEATED and the necromancer's will cast REVIVE DEFEATED+
for free. Once revived, you can heal your character. You can also
put STORAGE class characters (see below) in "T.M.U. GUEST LODGE" and
load them up with "SUNFRUIT. 20", "PORT MELON. 99", "SEAL-PORTAL",
etc. in case your party needs them to get back to INTERIORS.
Major Bug: Grayscale support
Minor Bugs: Storage Class, Three Temples
Grayscale support. Grayscale crashes Pocket PC. Mighty Might
Software is working to generate an error message, and they may
support grayscale in the future. A Hobby That Pays, Inc. has created
demo versions of 4 shade gray, 16 shade gray, and 256 color and
included them with the Dragon Blossom OSI and Saexgryth.
Storage Class. The STORAGE class characters have been renamed --
"STASH A", "STASH P", "STASH M" and "STASH I". The STORAGE class
now uses tile #152 which has been revised. Tile #152 now has the
text "Not a character. Item Storage. 1 HP AC+30". All the tiles for
classes have been updated. The MONITOR used to have the text "M00,
P00, I00", it now has the text "MA00-00, PA00-00, IA00-00". Meaning
the MONITOR class has a melee accuracy 00% with intermediate melee
objects and melee accuracy 00% with advanced melee objects;a
projectile accuracy 00% with intermediate projectile objects and
projectile accuracy 00% with advanced projectile objects;an invoke
accuracy 00% with intermediate invoke objects and invoke accuracy 00%
with advanced invoke objects. These were detailed in the
documentation, but this will hopefully make it clearer, to new people.
Three Temples. The game starting map and INTERIORS was created
several years ago. Some of the walls, and text are out of date. The
three temples, when the game starts, have been replaced with a floor
& ceiling pentagram teleport wall, a temple wall, a grav lift down
wall. Text has been updated for unlock alley, difficulty setting
corridors, entering the CLEARING, portal returns, taverns in
INTERIORS. Mostly this was just clarifying the text. Some obsolete
text was deleted.
-William
Note 1) It should appear on INTERIORS, ORCHARD HOUSE, FACTORY,
GREENHOUSE, LOW FARM, MIDDLE FARM, and HIGH FARM.

Hi,
I've played DB2 for a while, one characters as 2 items "Jewel2" that
I do not know how they got there.
Now, I'm in Lord Lair 2, with a shield called Holy Ward* I think and
after a fight, probably a Hydra, it transformed in "Jewel3".
Can someone explain me all this and if I can convert it back ??
Is there any use of those Jewels or it is only something to slow me
down ??
Thanks !!
William,
I am still play testing Saexgryth. Only bug so far is same necromancer inne
appears on several maps such as orchard, factory, interior.
What is the major bug to watch for?

Hi Brian [original message -- and URL -- at end of this post],
Dragon Blossom OSI can be found at the following URL:
Dragon Blossom OSI adventure script
http://tinyurl.com/3mp3j
This will redirect you to the DragonBaneII Yahoo!Group. You need a
Yahoo!ID because the file section is members only. If you do not
have a Yahoo!ID, you will need to create one. Yahoo!IDs are free.
It was thought that Saexgryth was missing some bonus sections, but
bug free. However, three bugs have so far been found, one of them
major. Because of this, Saexgryth was pulled from the market leaving
just Blossom OSI. Once Blossom OSI has been "play tested" and
debugged, the same bugs can be fixed in Saexgryth. Saexgryth will
then be sold through www.palmgear.com, a palm software site (though
it should run on the Pocket PC, linux and any other platform that
supports Dragon Bane 2: "Return of Kra'an" [MSRK]).
Currently we have one (1) person looking for bugs in Blossom OSI.

Hi subspace444 [original message -- and URL -- at end of post],
I am not an employee of Mythological Software.
Even running the demo version of Dragon Bane 2 Engine (DB2E), you
should be able to find the Lonely Spirit Tavern
after midnight unless you have completed "Cellar 2" and recovered
the figurine.
Try the following.
1a) save your game
1b) restart your game
1c) go to the Lonely Spirit Tavern at "NEW TRELEON (24,2)", your
party facing North, after midnight.
if that does not work, got to the below URL for "Return of Kra'an"
(MSRK) saved games. Load a game like MSRK Cellar 1. See if it will
work with your copy of DB2E.
If you want an answer about the Enchanted Grove go to the below URL
for "Return of Kra'an" (MSRK) walkthrough. Be warned, the Enchanted
Grove is after Cellar 2 (the Lonely Spirit Tavern) but you must pass
through another dungeon to get through the Enchanted Grove.

I've talked to the king, I've talked to the barkeep in the SouthWest
bar, and I have gone to the correct location of the Lonely Spirits.
The only conclusion I can come to is that my game is somehow broken.
Maybe my map file is corrupt. I will try downloading another one.

Ok, I started the game over, and now it works fine.
I think because my chars were very high level (by going back to the
eaglemen over and over), it just didn't want to let me in.
Thanks for the help.

Go talk to the king so he can tell you about the bar that should "open" the
dialog you're looking for. -MalKiE

Ok, now I'm really frustrated. I've been to the location of the
Lonely Spirits Pub every day of the week, and though I am allowed to
enter, it is always an empty building. MUST I go in this pub to
finish the game?
If not, could you answer my question about the Enchanted Grove.
Thanks.

Are you sure you're trying the right door? As I recall there are some places near it that are normal rooms. If you go the the tavern in the daytime you get a message that there is a tavern here but the door is locked.
I waited until after midnight, but whenever I enter the place, it's just an empty building. During the day it says it's a tavern, but locked.
So maybe it's only open certain days of the week. I'll have to try them all.
