I've been through the same room a million times, but I keep being
told to 'try again next time' to open the chest. (I'm pretty sure
that's where the bent key is). I've tried teleporting several times
and going back through the "three questions" area over and over
again. Any help?

I found some sort of a sword but can't identify it. I've seen
postings referring to some guy in hut; is this someone other than
Helix? If so, any idea where I can find this person? Didn't find
anyone at the fairgrounds who could do this.

Hi John,

That is a very useful tip for both RTK and Demelza. HOWEVER, note
that during middle portions of Demelza, the inns will be boarded up
(unavailable), so you would not be able to access your characters
then. The inns reopen later in the game.

I am going through the game slowly a second time to correct my
walkthrough to see if I can identify what events trigger these
events. I think returning Demelza to the King initially closes the
inns (or may reopen them). Simon likely can give the correct sequence
for this.

Cheers,
Chris Kim

Hi,

We have a problem with mixing up the scenarios. Craig was referring
to Return of Kra'an, while I believe eatmornachos (John Rangle) was
referring to Princess Demelza.

I know eatmorenachos is playing Demelza {PLEASE put [Demelza]
somewhere in the subject line to avoid confusion.

The answer is you are looking for Jeret to identify your exotic
items. You are correct in that he is in the Grove Fun Fair [remember
you can only enter during the first two weekends of the month!]. I
don't recall, but until you have an exotic unidentified item, Jeret
may not appear. Anyhow, he is located at (42,30) in the Grove Fun
Fair.

Please acknowledge if this helps. Thanks.

Good luck,
Chris Kim

Yes, this works. But don't forget who has what. Some key items will be needed later in the game.

Hi,

There is no glitch. The trick is that you have to use the fewest
moves to get to the locked gate.

Push the button in the wall. Remember turning around counts as a
move, so you will need to SLIDE SIDEWAYS without turning the group.
Use the overhead map for help (that doesn't count as a turn). That
should get you to the gate in time for it to be unlocked.

Good luck,
Chris Kim (cysk)

Hi,

You need the weird sphere to continue in the puzzle in Kra'an's Lair
1. You need this for the "Use what you found" portal and "Hope you
have what you need" portal.

See Larry Fluckinger's excellent walkthrough - search for message
1674 in this forum.

Good luck,

Hi,

I am working on revising my complete walkthrough of Demelza and am
just starting out again. Simon had corrected some typos, and I am
rechecking the revisions.

This was one of the things in town that needed revising in my
walkthrough. According to my notes, I think what you are looking for
is at (6,23), but I am not yet where you are to confirm. Let me know
if this helps or not - I don't remember exactly the details about the
Western gate - Simon probably could fill in this information.

Good luck on a great and LONG adventure!

You have to walk around the outside of the big pit trap, if you face the right way and move the right way, you can make it to the doorway down into the dungeon.

What I did was keep track of where I fell and didn't fall.  When I would fall, I would just retrace where I didn't fall and then something new at that square.  Eventually I made it through.

You need to talk with the barkeep, who will ask for the word. The
word is on one of the walls.

See post 1076 for Larry Fluckinger's walkthrough, which will give you
more hints as needed.

Good luck!

I have been playing off and on for months. There are several things
that I am stuck on.

I have a pile of unidenitifiable items. I figured when I could
finally get to Helix that he would do this but nope. Where can I get
these items identified.

I am on the Island Fortress. I have the Clay key. I can not figure
out how to get all the way into the center of the fortress. I have
explored the island, fallen in the pits, and pushed on every wall and
tree. I am just outside the inside wall.

In reply to this and your other email, you have found the correct

trick is to get there in the right number of moves.
