Hi there,

The best solution is to go to an inn at New Treleon and check in one of your party (that does not have the vault key), and then check out one of the characters not in the party. Give that non-playing character the vault key. Have the non-playing character check back in to the inn and check out the playing character. Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Chris Kim

Hello Craig.

Demelza does not require a serial code. You only require the registered
version of the adventure. However, if you are playing an unregistered
version of the actual game, then even the registered adventure of Demelza
will only play through the first three levels.

Mythological can supply you with your registration number if you have lost
it & I can re-supply you with a registered copy of Demelza once you advise
me of the email address you purchased Demelza under.

Can someone help me get into contact with Salo Software about getting
a new serial code for Demelza?

I 'think' I need it, thougth I still have the .PDB and can load the
Demelza game in DB2's Demo mode.

I've had to contact Mythological for the same problem with Dragon Bane 2.
I awair a return email.

It is going to suck (a little) to have to restart Demelza. :P

Thanks for your help.

I can be reached quicker (please) at LostProphetNOSPAM@...

In the time it took to write my last message her, Mythological had
responded with my key code.

Very cool. Not use to service like that. :D

Hi Jasper,

I assume this is the original DB2 game. If this is the puzzle I think it is in Lord's Lair 2, then you need to meet a few conditions:

1) Only one member of the party (leave the others at the inn in NT)
2) Ideally, someone who can cast Open Portal (Sorcerer or Wizard) or can use a staff of kinesis (if you found one) like a thief - so you can return to NT quickly.
3) The character cannot be a trogdolyte (innate light)

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Chris Kim

I am trying to get past the blind man puzzle.  I assume that you can
not have any light or spells when going into this room.  The problem
I'm having is that the ever watchfull eye will not go away.  I saw an
earlier post about it being a bug.  What should I do about this?

Thanks,

If you search out in the wilderness, there is a hut.  Inside is a guy that will identify items that shops cannot.  Search the wilderness and you should find it :).

You need to visit a special man (begins with a Y) in a hut in the southern forest who can identify special items. You have to do this twice (or maybe 3 times at most) during the game.

Yes, there are a couple of magic mouths & I think one of the fountain clues
that clearly indicate that the direction you are facing is an important part
of solving the puzzle. Over 50 players that have contacted me now have
completed the entire puzzle, most with minimal assistance. One lady in her
50s did it in less than two weeks!!

What has caused some confusion as of recently, is that some Pocket PC
players did not realize or have the ability to literally move sideways. This
even concerned Gabe & Jason at Mythological as I do have several puzzles in
Demelza that are solved by sideways directional movements.

Ah, thank you so much. Was the solution to this at one of the
fountains? I could have sworn that I checked them but I don't think
I would have ever figured out what to do.

OK!

Sorry for the delay. I am fully back on board now with my map editor working
correctly on my new PC.

Spoiler below for Lair of Confusion....

To get through the first pit back in from 26,25 so you are facing North as
you pass over the pit.

Press the button in here at 24,26 will let you through the gate at 22,34.
Then take the key at 22,26.

Then to get over the second pit go in sideways facing west from 19,23. Then
use the key at 20,27 which will open the gate at 17,24...

Good luck

Without looking at my notes there is either a button in the first area after
you crossed the first pit or you do the same deal but face west

I am stuck at this point (26,24 in Lair of Confusion). I have tried
to levitate over the pit and it didn't work. There was mention that
the way you are facing on the squares before these pits is very
important, so I tried to back over them and side step and that
didn't work either. I am at a lost and looking for help.

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Bert [original message -- and URL -- at end of post],

You can equip one weapon:

****Begin Excerpt
http://www.mythological.com/db2man/inventory.htm
Un/Equip - Objects that can be used or worn have a check box to the
left of their name and must be equipped to have effect. You can equip
and unequip an object by tapping the check box, or selecting this
menu item.
****End Excerpt

But you can use multiple weapons:

****Begin Excerpt
http://www.mythological.com/db2man/combat.htm
Use Item - The character will attempt to use an item in his or her
inventory during the upcoming round of combat. Although each of your
characters probably only carries one good hand-to-hand combat weapon,
they may choose to carry other weapons with special uses for special
circumstances. For this reason, the default equipped weapon or device
can be overriden by selecting any other object (even if that object
is not equipped).
****End Excerpt

The only items I ever equip are armor, rings, necklaces, and weapons
with bonuses. You can still use weapons with penalties by leaving
them unequipped and just selecting them during combat. Leaving items
with penalties unequipped avoids the penalties.

DB2ACK designers should keep this in mind when designing cursed items.

Okay, so how do I "equip" the Dragonbane sword. I have been handling real swords for most of my adult life (and I am 58). I presently own two, one a precise, signed and numbered replica of the ceremonial sword made for King Robert I of Scotland (Robert de Brus). The original is still in the possession of the Bruce cland c hief, and since he is a Duke and therefore has the right to conduct ducal courts and knight those who are worthy, it has been used in this generation for its intended purpose. Lady Catherine Bruce, then clan chief, used it to knight Robert Burns.

I have never heard the term "equip a sword" and have no idea what it means. I understand equipping yourself with a sword, drawing a sword, polishing and protecting a sword, but not equipping a sword.

People have had this problem before. When HELIX first fixes the
DRAGONBANE he says a bunch of stuff and then:
"MAKE HASTE! EQUIP YOUR DRAGON BANE SWORD AND FIND KRA'AN IN HIS LAIR"

You only have to meet KRA'AN for HELIX to open the teleport to KRA'AN
LAIR 2. However, the above says "...EQUIP YOUR DRAGON BANE
SWORD ..." If you do not equip the DRAGONBANE SWORD you can fight
KRA'AN all you want and nothing will happen. If you equip the
DRAGONBANE SWORD, meet KRA'AN and immediately run away, then HELIX
says:

"IT SEEMS THAT YOUR DRAGON BANE SWORD IS USELESS AGAINST KRA'AN. I
FEARED THIS WOULD HAPPEN. KRA'AN HIMSELF MUST BE PROTECTING A
MISSING PIECE FROM THE SWORD. NOW THAT YOU HAVE SEEN HIS LAIR, I CAN
OPEN A PORTAL SOMEWHERE JUST BEHIND HIS MAIN CHAMBER. FROM THERE YOU
SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEARCH HIS PROTECTED TREASURES FOR SOMETHING TO
MAKE THE DRAGONBANE WHOLE. ANY ARTIFACTS YOU FIND, BRING THEM AND
THE SWORD TO ME AND I WILL SEE IF WE CAN RESTORE THE SWORD'S POWER."

Once HELIX says this, the teleport to the GOBLIN PRISON now goes to
KRA'AN LAIR 2.

Hope that helps.

The Moor key goes back to the King.

There is walk-thru wall in the upper part. Look for the two crutches on the wall.

key hole in Darion says I can get 150 gold pieces, but I don't know
where to claim my prize.

Hit him and survive, that is. Sounds sufficiently challenging. Thanks. Bert

I've reached the part where you are finding a hiding place for the
Dragon Bane sword and I just dropped down in the a section in the
disused mine shaft. I followed the path around and reached a gate
where it is asking me for the slate key. Apparently, I missed it
and I don't see anyway out. I've already used two keys (one brass
and the other bone I think).

Also, I have the Moor key, but don't know what to do with it. The
key hole in Darion says I can get 150 gold pieces, but I don't know

Hi Bert,

You have to try to hit Kra'an at least once with the DragonBane sword then run back to Helix. Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Chris
