The higher your level the easier it is to beat Kra'an. I have won at
level 14 and 44 (yes, just a little overkill). If you go for a mega level
you'll find that it's not really worth getting more than 999 hit points
or 999 spell points. You can, but they get reset on various occasions
to 999.

Other weapons are useless against Kra'an but they will help take out
his minions. I like the heavy duty bows for this task.

Your best bet for your "other" party members is to have them use
spells or items with spells in them to augment the wielder of Dragon
Bane, by moving him closer or by increasing quickness or by casting
summon spells to distract Kra'an.

There is no way to miss a key element by completing a quest early (key
elements are either the result of a quest or given to you at the
completion of a quest, and are needed later). You did miss some treasure,
but nothing you MUST have.

Nope - the hermit is living in the forest. You'll get the graveyard key
and the brass key later. You don't need a key at the current stage.

Rocks, I think. Handy for figuring out where you are at times.

I just getting started on the RoK. I went through the cellar under the
tavern and found the figurine. Behind the pedestal with the figurine was a
chest that I could not get past the pedestal to access. I returned to the
surface with the figurine, took it to the king, and now the cellar is
closed. Is this pretty standard in RoK? I shouldn't complete a quest until
I have really cleaned out/fully explored an area?

I feel like I missed finding some keys in the cellar. I need a brass key
and graveyard key but all I have is a vault key. I have been wandering west
of town for a long time trying to find the old wizard. Is the hermitage
that town behind the tree barrier?

What the heck are those stone apples on the ground all over the place?

I cannot access my home computer to check out for certain where you are at
the moment, however I think when you fall through the floor you will find a
code on the wall somewhere, then when you go back up if you move to the

enter in the code.

Let me know if this is the wrong spot then on the weekend I will access the

Hi dragon96_2003,

The first time I beat KRA'AN my party was all 18th level. Now they
are usually all 14th or 15th level.

Several people on this forum have defeated KRA'AN using a single
character such as a lone THIEF.

You can search the archive on Yahoo! Groups for more information.
The file section also contains the Walkthrough including hints on how
to defeat KRA'AN.

My latest post on how to beat KRA'AN was Msg#1744

I never came down this ceiling hole and I do not know to get to it!? It is not on the floor above. I have also noticed that sometimes the ladders are removed but that the program tells me when this happens.

I also need to know how to work the levitation spell!

Is there any place that tells what all magic spells do, such as the Revelation and Greater Revelation spells (I cann't see much difference). I have noticed that most are pretty self evident.

Thanks. I got to the "Hole in the Ceiling" (Stone Crypt, 8, 13) and have to use the levitation spell but nothing happened. Decided to try the keys on the palm, however, is there a special way that these are pressed to go up through the ceiling into the new area? I get pushed to one side or the other.

You get the Vault Key in Arbor Crest. It doesn't open anything as

Soli Key is in the sewer. You need to push a wall to get to it. For

Excellent! Only one more level to go then. Mind you, the spells will

You get the 4th level spells when you reach level 13.

You start with 1st level spells at level 1
2nd level at level 5
3rd level at level 9
4th level at level 13.

My characters are all lvl 12 and have access to spells up to 3rd
level. I've checked in the manual and on here but I can't find any
spell level progression table to tell me when I'll be able to do 4th
level stuff (my party is Caleb Gyrko Ensir and Poe btw). Currently I'm
having fun footling around levels 2 and 3 of the crypt looking for a
dead wizard......

Michael,

All ceiling holes indicate that you can come down through them but you can never go back up them unless they have a ladder attached.

Simon.

Dear Simon,

Regards,

Mike Quinn

Simon,

Thanks for the help last time.

I am in the Stone Crypt (4,8), Princess Demelza, and can not budge
the fake torch holder, therefore, not enabling me to rescue the
princess. If the problem was fixed, is there a button to push some
were else? I have looked but could find none. What do you suggest?
This is madding!

My favorite party are Ensir, Mordor and Poe. You can make it through the whole
game with any characters singly or in combo except for the single Trog. Someone
has to sub for him in the "dark room".

get to level 23 and maybe then I can beat him with just Ensir. It has been
tough to do. Hopefully in the next couple of days I'll be able to say I have
finished with just Ensir.
