I have completed the Mines and have hidden the Dragon Bane sword, but
there is still a section not complete. What I need is the Safe Key to
access the area. From what I have read posted to the group forum is
that it is not important to have if you found the short cut, but I
would still like to explore the section.
Where can I find the key???
Thanks!!

Rick,
The reason the King is not available as you have only half completed the
previous instructions. After hiding the sword in the tunnel you now need to
find Demelza as advised.
Spoiler below...
You are now able to enter the crypts at the Hull Cloister.

I checked though the code, and you have to have opened the chest to find segment two before the king will give you the key. If you did open the chest, then email us your save game, and indicate which save slot you want us to load. We'll take a look and make sure that there is not a bug in the game, or explain what you have or haven't done. See our FAQ for how to find your save game backed up on your computer.
hopefully Jason or Gabe will respond. you seem to have done the right things and yet are stuck.

I found Demelza in the swamp catacomb, but she said that I need to
pick up somethingin the box south west of Moor. When I reached the
box, it said that we have to go back full moon. It was 17th of the
month, how come we had to wait and kill time for the next 28 days?
What could I do? That is just not funny at all !!! Help.

I have the second segment, plenty of room in my inventory, and I have
magic mapped both levels of the dungeon. the king gives me the shpeel
about the trails and going to the cemetery, he tells me to use the
key, but he does not give me a key, I've defeated the gorgon three
times (using saved games). i have thoroughly explored the levels going
from 12th level to 14th.

The king gives you the key if I remember correctly after you defeat the
Gorgon and have the second segment in your possession (found in a chest near
the gorgon, I think). Did you check your inventory for the key? Do you have
the second segment?

Dear Chris,
In my experience you just run away. I am not a member of
Mythological Software, so I cannot check the MAPEDITOR.EXE code, but
Helix does mention you must "equip" the DRAGON BANE*@=^ so perhaps
you must "equip" the sword, talk to KRA'AN and run away.

Dear Alex,
I first finished the adventure as 18th level with one 14th level
character last Decemember. I have since done a complete walk through
with all 14th level characters this June.

Hi there,
When you fought with Kra'an, the person wielding DragonBane has to hit
Kra'an (even for no damage). That means that Kra'an first has to be 10'
away, while the person wielding DragonBane hits Kra'an. You should get a
message that hints at a return visit to Helix.
Cheers,
Chris

Hi Simon,
Thanks for the
help. I found the key that let me into the Hamlet in the center of
The Marsh, but haven't figured out where to drop Demelza
off. I kept going to the house at (14,13) that gives the message "The
Royal Lady in waiting has this little cottage," but to no avail.
I went here both during the day and during the night.
Thanks! Chris

With Demelza in your party you should have got through the gate in the Marsh
at 22,01. Explore this area very thoroughly & you should find some more
information about getting into the far south eastern corner of the map.
It is in the far south eastern corner of this map where you will find what
you need to enter the hamlet in the centre of the map.
Only after you have dropped Demelza off somewhere in the hamlet will you
find it possible to unlock the door you are talking about...

I've retrieved Pricess Demelza, and have taken her to The Marsh.
I've also explored the two sections of The Marsh beyond the eastern

I find that to beat Kra'an
15 (or less) is a tough battle; you'll be hardpressed
to keep you team alive and win; you'll probably need
the "right" mix of characters to win
18 may present a challenge for the wrong mix of
characters
20 is easy and you probably will not have to resurrect
anyone
24 is trivial and you can do it without having to heal
anyone (although you may take some damage) and you
won't need a full team

Doing really well after small tip, thanks for that. But ahhh now how
do I get over that trap door in Princes Lair 1!!! Going round and
round in circle again!!!!
I've retrieved Pricess Demelza, and have taken her to The Marsh.
I've also explored the two sections of The Marsh beyond the eastern
walls, but where am I suppose to take her? Is there a way to get

Hi Tony,
You have to remember that turning counts as
a move. You need to learn to move backwards
and sideways without turning. Looking at the
overhead map, I believe, does not count as a
move.
Good luck and have fun with the Easter Egg
level!
Cheers,
Chris Kim
I've been reading about Demelza... is this another adventure to be
used with DBII? Are there other adventures coming soon in the DBII
family (especially ones compatible with PDA's)?
Thanx
I found a couple of tactical strategies that have helped me in DBII -
never turn down a fight AND make sure the shop at the magical items
store... plenty of great items to help you.
My question is this... what is everyone's average level when
entering Kraan's lair? I entered with level 15 characters... (I
found it funny that Kopos mentions in his greeting after being freed
how surprised he is at how lowly and inexperienced the party is...
HE'S ONLY A LEVEL 14 HIMSELF!.
I am now at Level 16 for all my characters... I found a way to
dumping that pesky vault key...
What is the avarage level for people starting the earter egg level?
Thanx
The "mini map" is from the "Magic Compass" spell.
