What level are the characters in your party? It may help to have them
at level 9 - so your wizard can cast Summon the Iqtar and other
offensive spells. You will encounter fewer monsters when you advance
if they are too easy.

If you have the Dwarf, you can use him to cast Heart of Quickness and
perhaps Mark of the Valiant on your Knight to make him more effective.

Another option is to replace your Dwarf with a sorceror. You will have
to ramp him up quickly. There will be another opportunity a bit later
to exchange characters.
