Hi RHanusa,
Thank you for your feedback and your compliment.
I am unsure what you mean about 10% of the experience points you should be
getting. If you could give me a specific example, that might help me solve
your problem.
As a generic answer, if you are unsatisfied with how fast your party is
advancing, you can adjust the difficulty level. Default for population is
"BASELINE x2 (EASY)" which means monsters appear twice as often as the
recommended population "BASELINE x1 (RECOMMENDED)". During testing, I often set
the population to "BASELINE x4" so I encounter monsters twice as often as
default and four times as often as recommended. The more often you encounter
monsters, the more experience points you will have after completing a strata
(overhead map).
I am unsure what you mean about being cryptic. If you could give me specific
examples, that might help me solve your problem.
As a generic answer, if you have a program on the PDA/ smartphone that can read
text files, you might want to load the following text file:
"Doc Spell Description FF v.txt"
It contains information on
symbols ("=" indicates an item/ spell that effects/ attacks one creature or
effects/ attacks one member of the party while "+" indicates an item/ spell
that effects/ attacks one group of enemies or effects/ attacks the player's
entire party).
spell names (" COMET DRAIN 5+AH20C" has a range of 50 feet ("5" times 10);
attacks one group of enemies in that range ("+"); is a receiver all, reaper
attack ("A"); is a hitpoints, reaper attack ("H"); does a maximum of 20 points
damage ("20"); does less damage against creatures with chemical resistance
("C"); while "HOT LEAD BURST 3&33F" has a range of 30 feet ("3" times 10);
attacks all enemies in that range ("&"); does a maximum of 33 points damage
("33"); does less damage against creatures with fire resistance ("F"))
spell effects ("CAMO 02 tocks(*10):= 2 SP:= 4 Result:= makes the party
uninteresting to roaming or travelling creatures. Stationary or perceptive
creatures are not fooled, neither are bio traps such as a field covered in
thorns. Charm:= mask" is a low level version of STEALTH, but only lasts 20
tocks instead of 60 tocks. "REVIVE SENTRY+13 tocks(*10):= 13 SP:= 4
Result:= creates a sentry which revives a character during combat. note: does
not work against traps. Charm: heart" is a version of SAVING THROW that lasts
130 tocks instead of 80 tocks. This is important, since "REVIVE SENTRY+13" now
has the same duration as "ARMOR+1 RESIST+10" and other armor spells.)
You might also try "EXAMINE"
(
http://www.dragonbane.com/db2man/objects.htm )
on a specific object to gain more details than just the object name.
Sincerely yours,
William
