Dear Larry and Craig,
Normally I don't see any use for playing less than 5 characters. But
while I am waiting for new adventures to come out, I thought I would
try solo adventuring because the solo character gets all the cool
potions/ fruits that give bonuses. A solo character also gets 5
times the experience for killing a monster as a full party so
advancement is much quicker.
I agree with you both, that a solo non-fighter is incredibly
difficult in Dragon Bane 2: "Return of Kra'an" (DB2:MSRK).
Theoretically possible, but not worth the time and effort. I lean
toward THIEF or DWARF since they get BELLIGERENCE.
I am playing my first solo adventure. Currently I have a 6th level
DWARF- innate MAGIC COMPASS. Money is much tighter. I have been
healing/ getting money by adding POE- TREAT PLAYER-, HERIC- ALCHEMY-
and MORDOR- WIZ WALL (or ENSIR- GRIZZLY)- to my party and running
around in the sun. When I am done, I return them to the inn. If I
ever get to STONEFIELD CASTLE it will be nice, HERIC- ALCHEMY,
OPHELIA- MATERIALZIE, CELEX- RESTORE ALL HEALTH and RUUL- BIND
SHOELAN.
Sincerely yours,
NEFTF

with the DragonBane would seem to make it virtually impossible to
beat the dragon.
The lack of money means that you have to have a magic user in order
to heal.
