Seeing how I haven't gotten much of response out of the poll(I'm keeping it up until end Feb
just to see how the interest is)
I have choosen 2 possible dates:
March 18th,2007 and April 15th,2007 (both meeting are slated to beign at 2:30pm)
(and both are sundays) usally on sundays I get off before 2pm.
in case I happen get off at 2pm (or even 1:45pm :like this sunday was) the meeting will beignat 3pm. (in case I get off at 2:30pm the meeting will be canceled and maybe rescheuled durring the fall)
Basicly the meeting schedule will be like this:
years when I have VGS: we will only do two meetings March and April
when I don't do the show: we will do 4 meetings March and April(summer break from may to august) resume in the fall(dates to TBD) Also there might be an gathering simlar to what DP guys do(they usally go out Ceders point or an amusment park, what we prob do
is go to either Enchanted Castle,Safari Land or maybe kiddieland(or maybe hit the swrap O rama in melrose park) this is basicly up in the air at this time) there might be Swap meet scheduled on the year there is no Show(this is also up in the air)
As of right now, the dates mentioned are not set yet(I have to drop the paper off at the libary
(of which is where our meetings are going be at) I'll keep you updated as soon I hear back from them.
Hello, I'm sending this to you to inform you that effective today the Atari Zone Fanzine is now Quarterly. so instead of 6 issues you will only receive 4 issues. that's not the format of the newsletter is back to our original layout which is similar to the Jagfest issues(2 column layout inside and a cover) plus the fee is now lowered to 9.00 (if you pay by credit card or paypal) or 8.00
if you pay by check or money order. you can use this invite to subscribe (a link to the subscription page is included). one final note effective today, I am no longer editor of newsletter, I have selected David Behnke (who was an editor before in the early years) to replace me,I'm staying on as publisher and I'm continuing writing club related articles as well as some other articles. if you are interested in doing an article for newsletter let me know and I'll send you Dave's e-mail addy.(all articles must be Atari related and it can cover anything from Atari consoles, computers or games that for other systems) thank you Dan Iacovelli AVC/JCU chairperson publisher of the Atari Zone Fanzine

this decision:
First, we had a low attenendence this year

say thanks and we hope to see you in 2008.

Atari Video Club/Jaguar Community United is pleased to announce that they are
returning to WI on June 3rd and 4th,2006 for The Midwest Gaming Classic
to host the Jagfest Section at the show. At the 2004 show we had a good turn
out on the first day of the show, and we want that trend to continue.
AVC has been involved with Jagfest since 1997 when the first Jagfest was
held in rosemont,IL and we enjoyed being part of the festivites in some way
or form at other shows. In 2004,AVC decied to stop producing thier Jagfest
issues when they released their final Jagfest issue which covred all shows from
1997 to 2003(U.S. and Overseas).Daniel Iacovelli,AVC/JCU chairperson, recently

as it turns out I'm currently working the opening shift at my job now.
which also means I will be able to schedule local meetings for the club.
most likely it will either be sundays(when get off at around 1pm) or Saturdays
(when get off before 3pm). Location will be determined at later date (as of now
I see it happening late 2006 or early 2007).
the poll is made to help me plan out the dates:

I recently found out that yahoo is letting you add a second e-mail addy for
free(the e-mail will still go to your primary account)
So effective today Video Game Summit will have it's own e-mail addy which is:
videogamesummit@...
I tried to change it on the vgs mailing list but since it's the same as my
primary account it wouldn't work.

This is just an announcement before I send out the official Pr in around the
end of this month:
Atari Video Club/Jaguar Community United announced today that our next show
will take place on August 12th,2006 at the FairField Inn and suites in
Lombard,IL (the same location we had it for the past 3 years).
Right now we are looking for people to help with the show.
here are the only parts we need hep with:
1. Advertising: Flier's and/or mentions in the local papers by you.(the fliers
should be similar to the one I did for the past 2 shows)Also fliers can
distributed at certain game stores (or computer users groups).
2. Organization: at this time we basically have two people working on each side
of the show: Corey Koltz from 8-bit classics.com is working on the Video Game
side of the show and Julian Wolf from Suburban Chicago ATarains users group is
working on the computer side of the show. These guys can't do it alone if you
care to help either one of these fine gentlemen please e-mail me and I'll
contact the person you want to help.
Also to further help: Corey has set up a private section in his forum at 8bit
Classics.com for us to use for the show (I've already posted the first message
which is similar to this) for those who wish to be part of it first
go the forum and register(if you haven't already) then e-mail Corey at(
Corey@...) and let him know that you are part of the VGS Event
committee so you can post on the section.
I should have more information coming soon about signing up sponsors and/or
vendors.
