Hello,

Everytime I tried to go to the website to vote, my computer crashed so I am
emailing. I would say possibly yes, but it would have to depend on if I am
working. I
do have to work some weekends.

For Immediate Release:

Atari Video Club/Jaguar Community United is pleased to announce that they are
returning to WI on June 3rd and 4th,2006 for The Midwest Gaming Classic
to host the Jagfest Section at the show. At the 2004 show we had a good turn
out on the first day of the show, and we want that trend to continue.
AVC has been involved with Jagfest since 1997 when the first Jagfest was
held in rosemont,IL and we enjoyed being part of the festivites in some way
or form at other shows. In 2004,AVC decied to stop producing thier Jagfest
issues when they released their final Jagfest issue which covred all shows from
1997 to 2003(U.S. and Overseas).Daniel Iacovelli,AVC/JCU chairperson, recently
announced that they are going to be producing a special black t-shirt to
commemorate Jagfest 10th year anniversary coming up in 2007. the front of the
shirt will have the Jagfest on tour logo and below that the words in red "1997
to 2007 ten years and still growling".
The shirt is scheduled to make it's first appearance at the Jagfest section at
Midwest gaming classic, where AVC will be taken orders for it. Also AVC
announced the jagfest on tour t-shirt and the Final Jagfest issue cafepress.com
version (autographed by Daniel Iacovelli) will be doanted as a prize for one of
the Jagfest tournaments.(plans are in the works for t-shirt and jagfest issue
package deal as well in the future if sales goes well)
The Jagfest on tour shirt will be sold at exclusively at AVC news stand at
cafepress.com: http://www.cafepress.com/avcnews .

This is just an announcement before I send out the official Pr in around the
end of this month:
Atari Video Club/Jaguar Community United announced today that our next show
will take place on August 12th,2006 at the FairField Inn and suites in
Lombard,IL (the same location we had it for the past 3 years).
Right now we are looking for people to help with the show.
here are the only parts we need hep with:
1. Advertising: Flier's and/or mentions in the local papers by you.(the fliers
should be similar to the one I did for the past 2 shows)Also fliers can
distributed at certain game stores (or computer users groups).
2. Organization: at this time we basically have two people working on each side
of the show: Corey Koltz from 8-bit classics.com is working on the Video Game
side of the show and Julian Wolf from Suburban Chicago ATarains users group is
working on the computer side of the show. These guys can't do it alone if you
care to help either one of these fine gentlemen please e-mail me and I'll
contact the person you want to help.
Also to further help: Corey has set up a private section in his forum at 8bit
Classics.com for us to use for the show (I've already posted the first message
which is similar to this) for those who wish to be part of it first
go the forum and register(if you haven't already) then e-mail Corey at(
Corey@...) and let him know that you are part of the VGS Event
committee so you can post on the section.
I should have more information coming soon about signing up sponsors and/or
vendors.

Hello fellow members,
Just letting you know that AVC/JCU will be starting it's
Planning Chats for The 2005 Video Game Summit.
As most of you know, we were in contact with they people who did the
Video Game Developers Summit also held in IL in sept. they were looking for
another show to join, I decided to step up to plate and see if it was possible
it looked good until I got an e-mail from them saying that it wouldn't be a
good fit since their focus was on academic and development of games(more of
workshop then just doing keynotes) I still offered them to come to the chats
and the show.
any who, the chat will take place at playandview.com chat room from 7pm to 9pm.
Hope to see you there
Daniel Iacovelli
AVC/JCU chairperson

Atari Video Club Officially Opens News Stand
For Immediate Release:
October 18th, 2004:

The Atari Video Club is proud to announce The Grand Opening of the AVC News
Stand.
Dan Iacovelli, AVC/JCU Chairperson, started opening the news stand back in June

of 2004 with the Final Jagfest issue, and later added the other 6 six Jagfest
issues to the news stand every 10th day. The news stand is actually a reworked
version of the old back issue pages from AVC online the clubs website (which is

still accessible but only through the news stand).
The News Stand has images from the covers from the issues as well as full
descriptions of the issues, plus an extra feature to the news stand is that
fest issues are not only available in normal print versions (as they have been
in the past) as well as in PDF form but will also be available at
cafepress.com.
Currently as of this writing only the Jagfest issues are listed on the news
stand as well as the programs from our computer and video game trade show The
Video Game Summit (the programs are only available thru Cafepress.com (the 2004

program is currently at the VGS shop at cafepress.com
(http://www.cafepress.com/VGS) while the 2003 program is listed at AVC news
stand at cafepress.com (http://www.cafepress.com/avcnews)
(this is where all the jagfest issues are at as well)).

AVC also announces plans for a new magazine only to be available thru
cafepress.com To be entitled "Into The Zone". This magazine is actually a
combination of 2 regular Atari Zone issues (Regular issues are
uaslly 12 pages long). Regular Atari Zone issues will still be available in
normal print and PDF forms) The first set of "Into The Zone" issues will
actually come from the back issues of the Atari Zone (while there are a few
back issues that are more 12 pages long they won't be combined but will still
be called "Into The Zone" for the cafepress edition (the normal version will be

called "the Atari Zone").
"Into The Zone" is most likely to debut some time early next year (it won't be
available by subscription though but the Atari zone issues will still be)
The AVC News Stand can be viewed by going to AVC Online
(http://avc.atari-users.net) and clicking on the button that will take you to
news stand site.

End Release

for those who remember last year then president of MIAUG, Bryan G challenged
Our local club in what we call an atari club Battle durring the NLCS (Cubs
-Marlins) well his Club won :<
Now we started the 2004 battle for the WC spot on sept.10th when the marlins
came to Wriglely(sp) to play the Cubs in a four game stand.
heres a brief recap of what happned so far:
MIAUG took the first game when Marlins beat the Cubs 7 to 0
AVC(IL) tied it up when the Cubs won the second game 11 to 2
Todays Game:(9/11) AVC(IL) took the lead when the Cubs won 5 to 2
Currently The Cubs are alone in the WC spot (depending on how the other teams
playing do) and the Marlins are 2.5 games back.
I have set up a temp site that list the wins and scores(as well links to the
each ball club website) at http://avc.atari-users.net/Battle.htm
thank you
Dan Iacovelli
